There are a lot of random weird things that you can find in Baldur’s Gate 3 that will make you second guess what you’ve heard or saw. One of these weird things that happens in the Rosymorn Monastery is that you will randomly hear a baby crying as you progress through the building. This is incredibly unsettling and you will likely discover that there is no baby at the location where you could hear the sound from. No matter how much you See Invisibility, you still cannot find this baby around those Gremishka cats. Well, in this guide, we will tell you exactly what that baby crying sound is in the Rosymorn Monastery in Baldur’s Gate 3 and how to potentially save the endangered target.

What is the Baby Crying Sound in the Rosymorn Monastery in BG3?

If you’ve entered the room without activating the See Invisibility spell or with Volo’s Eye, you have likely run into the room due to the sound of a baby crying and ended up being ambushed by a lot of Gremishka.

In the lore of D&D, it is said that Gremishka pretend to be wounded children or animals to trick good people into their traps. Considering this fact about the enemy, it is quite clear that the baby crying sound in the Rosymorn Monastery in BG3 is caused by Gremishka.

The whole idea is to lure players that can’t See Invisibility into the room and ambush them to eat them. Luckily, if you have Volo’s Eye, this whole battle wouldn’t really be that surprising and you will just be confused by the random sound as you enter the room.

Random fun fact, the actual “item” that makes the baby crying sound in BG3 isn’t actually one of the Gremishka, it is a box that is hidden in the middle of the room, right next to the sun on the floor. You can actually see it if you cast an AOE spell in the middle of the room.

And that is all you need to know about what the baby crying sound is in the Rosymorn Monastery in Baldur’s Gate 3. Check out other interesting BG3 guides and articles:
