  1. Ceremonial Battleaxe – On the second floor of Rosymorn Monastery, in a room sealed by an Enchanted Door. You can either lockpick it or break the stone wall on the southern side of the room. Defeat the Guardian of Faith using ranged attacks and pick up the battleaxe from them.
  2. Ceremonial Warhammer – On the third floor of Rosymorn Monastery (the roof), you will find two Giant Eagles next to a nest. Defeat them or Persuade them and stealthy steal the warhammer from the nest.
  3. Rusty Mace – Dig up the remains of Dawnmaster Stockhold to the southeast of Rosymorn Monastery, on the first floor, and take his Rusty Mace. Once you place it on the altar, it will work as a Ceremonial Mace.
  4. Ceremonial Longsword – On the second floor, where the puzzle can be solved. You don’t need to pick it up, just leave it as it is.

How to Solve the Ceremonial Weapons Puzzle in the Rosymorn Monastery in BG3

Now that you have all the Ceremonial Weapons, it is time to solve the Rosymorn Monastery Dawnmaster puzzle. There are four altars in the room and you can tell which one needs to have which weapon if you look at the Stained-Glass Window in the middle of the room.

To solve this puzzle, all you need to do is drag the Ceremonial Weapons from your inventory and drop them on the right altars.

To make things easier, we will tell you exactly where you need to place each Ceremonial Weapons to solve the puzzle in Rosymorn Monastery in BG3:

  • Northwestern Altar – Ceremonial Longsword
  • Southwestern Altar – Ceremonial Battleaxe
  • Southeastern Altar – Rusty Mace
  • Northeastern Altar – Ceremonial Warhammer

You can also see them placed in the right order in the image at the top of this guide. If you put them in the wrong place, you will just fall over, take 5 damage, and the weapon will fall on the ground.

Once all of them are in the right place, a stone wall will lower and you will get some extra hints in the quest to find the Blood of Lathander and an item which will be important in the future, the Dawnmater’s Crest.
