In Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, the player will have to face many heretical beings that would make a normal human question their sanity. Aurora is the first real boss you will face in Rogue Trader, as she is working to take over Rykad Minoris for the eldritch beings that she worships and you will have to do your best to stop her, either for the God-Emperor or for humanity in general. Either way, the battle is relatively bizarre, as Aurora is surrounded by a force field, which you can’t penetrate, and the reactor is going to blow up in 2 rounds, resulting in an instant loss. So, in this guide, we will show you exactly how to win the fight against Aurora in Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader and defeat the heretics on Rykad Minoris once and for all.

How to Fight and Beat Aurora in the Electrodynamic Cenobium in Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader

This Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader boss fight will begin with your party in the middle of the room, Aurora right in front you, surrounded by a force field, and 24 enemies around the area that you need to defeat.

You will also get a timer when the battle starts that says the reactor will blow up in 2 rounds. Now, to actually win this fight with Aurora in Rogue Trader, you don’t need to defeat her, you will need to beat up all of the enemies in the area.

Getting Extra Rounds – Stop Reactor from Exploding

It is impossible to win this fight with Aurora in just 2 rounds without a reactor explosion. Here is how the fight actually works: each time you defeat one of the Electro-Priests, you gain 1 extra turn. There are 3 Electro-Priests on the left side and 3 on the right side of the reactor.

This means that you will have to send 3 members of your squad on one side and 3 on the other, with a balanced combination of ranged and melee capabilities split between the two.

Your main goal will be defeating the Electro-Priests, since this will get you extra rounds. AOE attacks will work best here, with characters such as Argenta and Cassia doing huge damage.

The first Electro-Priests on both sides are extremely close to your starting position, so you should be able to take them out in those first two turns, giving you another 2.

Unfortunately, there is a max cap on how many rounds you can have, which is 3. This means that if you already have 3 rounds until the explosion and you defeat one of the Electro-Priests, then you won’t gain an extra one.

This is why it might also be a good idea to keep them alive until you go back down to 2, while also advancing on the rest of the troops.

The real problem in this battle is that the Electro-Priests won’t move from their posts, which means you will have to advance all the way to the corners of the map. Still, most of the enemies are relatively weak and a full party of around level 12-13 should defeat most enemies Cultists in 1 shot.

Make sure to also go crazy with your skills and get as many Injuries as you are comfortable with, since there won’t actually be some huge fight with Aurora afterward, so there is no reason to hold back.

After Defeating Everyone

Once you beat the last Cultist/Electro-Priest, you will teleport next to Aurora and talk a bit. After she spews a bit of cultists propaganda your way, she will electrify herself, ending the fight.

You will also find another shard of the unholy sword, which you will have to decide what to do with based on your conviction.

How to Win the Aurora Boss Battle After the Festival in Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader

As opposed to the first time you met Aurora, this time she brings the big guns. With over 300 wounds to spare, Aurora’s Chaos Space Marine will be the hardest thing you’ve fought in Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader until now.

Your best bet in this battle is using Pasqal. If you got the Skirmish Protocols Talent then you will be able to get through Aurora’s huge defense. Though he won’t have the power to survive her strikes, you just need to make sure he isn’t the last one to hit her.

If you also brought Cassia for the fight, you can give Pasqal many more rounds than he’s supposed to have and use his Power Omnissian Axe to defeat Aurora in around 4 turns. The real problem here is the sniper that will keep one-shotting everyone.

Unfortunately, if either Aurora or the sniper get rid of Pasqal and your main character isn’t some incredible anti-armor build, then you won’t really have a chance with the rest of the squad.
