RPGs are all about the best weapons and armor. If you want to thrive, you will need to quickly get some better gear and then nothing will stand in your way. Luckily, in V Rising, players don’t need to travel the world to find and loot armor, they can make it at home. To make some of the best armor in V Rising, players will need to get Thick Leather. However, this special resource can only be made with the help of Thick Hide. Since you all probably want to wear the Merciless Hollowfang armor, here is how you can get Thick Hide in V Rising, and then get you some Thick Leather.

How to Get Thick Hide in V Rising

Thick Hide is a special kind of hide that you can only get in specific regions of the game. Once you get to those regions, you can kill any animal and you will get Thick Hide.

To get Thick Hide in V Rising, you will need to head over to the Dunley Farmlands or the Hallowed Mountains and kill any animals. Since there are a lot of farms in the Dunley Farmlands, you can just teleport next to one and kill all the sheep and cows.

The dogs that travel attack you around the Dunley Farmlands will also give you Thick Hides. So, anything besides wolves should get the job done.

How to Get Thick Leather in V Rising

Now that you have Thick Hide, you can craft Thick Leather in V Rising using the Tannery. You can unlock the Tannery structure at any time by defeating Keely the Frost Archer V Blood boss.

Once you have the Tannery in your castle, just use 16 Thick Hide and 1 Oil to get one piece of Thick Leather. Since you will need more than that to make the full Merciless Hollowfang armor, make sure to loot as many animals as possible in the Dunley Farmlands.
