As you progress through V Rising and gain new and powerful armor and weapons, you will need to learn how to also destroy player castles easier. The Major Explosive Box is an amazing tool if you just want to get inside someone’s base and loot everything they have. However, to learn how to craft this placeable item, you will need to find the location of Angram the Purifier and defeat him. This creepy-looking man is a V Blood boss that is more machine than human. To help you get through all the Gloomrot V Blood bosses, here is where you can find the location of Angram the Purifier in V Rising, and how to defeat him.
Angram the Purifier Location in V Rising
The location where you can find Angram the Purifier in V Rising is the Pools of Rebirth. This is a populated area on the Western side of the Gloomrot South region. Angram will be patrolling around the Pools of Rebirth and will never leave the area.
Though there are a lot of enemies here, you can slowly make your way toward him using the Human Form. Still, he will walk all over the Pools of Rebirth, as the road there is a circle, so if you wait on one of the edges he will come to you.
To get to the Pools of Rebirth in Gloomrot South, you can actually use any of the Waygates in the area. The place where you need to get is right in the middle of all the Waygates in the Gloomrot region, as you can see in the image above.
How to Defeat Angram the Purifier in V Rising
Angram the Purifier is a level 60 V Blood boss and will be a relatively annoying boss to defeat. The reason why he is incredibly dangerous is the Chaos Barrier skill that he uses all the time. This is a skill that creates a giant shield in front of him which counters all your attacks with Chaos projectiles.
When he brings up the Chaos Barrier, all you can do is pray and wait. There is no way to get through it and you will get much more damage than he will.
Angram will also throw a lot of Chaos balls around him that will remain on the ground and deal a lot of damage if you step on them. When he lowers his shield, he will often either use this attack or lunge at you.
This V Blood boss works a lot like a tank. He will withstand a lot of attacks and will throw AOE attacks all over the place. What is worse is that random enemies on the map will also join the fight, as you will be on their patrol route.
The best way to win this battle is to use special spells that don’t move, like the Ball Lightning spell, to constantly damage him when he doesn’t move. Besides the occasional lunges, he will only stay in one place. Try to hit his back as he holds his shield up.
Using ranged spells to debuff and damage him is the best way to deal with him. Attacking him in close quarters could also be a decent choice, but he will hit you with his machine gun or bring the shield up, making the close range useless.
Angram the Purifier – Rewards
If you defeat Angram the Purifier for the first time in V Rising, you will get these:
- Chaos Barrier → Chaos Channeling Spell. Creates a shield in front of you that counterattacks enemies when hit and deals 50% of the original damage received. Incredibly useful against powerful V Blood bosses like Henry Blackbrew the Doctor.
- Mutated Rat, Major Explosive Box, Irradiant Gruel → Recipes. The Major Explosive Box will allow you to get inside any player’s castle. It is one of the best tools to use to destroy doors and walls in V Rising.
