How Dating and Marriage Work in Sun Haven
There are a few ways players can increase their relationship with characters in Sun Haven. You can give gifts, complete quests, and choose the right dialogue options when talking to them.
By doing these things, you will slowly fill up hearts with the romance options. Once you reach 10 hearts with a romance option, you will get access to dates with them.
You will have to go on three dates with a character before being able to marry them. The moment when you decide if you are romantically involved with a romance option or not is on the second date.
Even if you reject someone after the second date, you can continue the romance with no repercussions if you give them a love letter from Bernard.

To actually propose to a character, you will need at least 15 hearts with them and a wedding ring from Bernard. Just gift it to them and wait a few days for their answer.
So, here is exactly how many hearts you need for each phase of the romance:
- 7 ❤️ → First Date
- 8 ❤️ → Second Date
- 10 ❤️ → Relationship
- 15 ❤️ → Marriage
On the other hand, if you get bored of your new wife or husband, you can always get a divorce at the town hall later and start a new romance with a different character.
