Fishing is a vital part of Sun Haven, as you will need to do it for special abilities. Not only is it an excellent source of income, but it is also useful for food which will boost your stats. When you also consider that a full part of the Museum only requires you to fish, it must mean that you need to perfect this skill. Depending on what type of platform you play on, this minigame may be harder or easier. How to Fish in Sun Haven
Fishing in Sun Haven is a relatively straightforward experience. First of all, you can see fish from outside the water. They can be seen as shadows swimming around bodies of water.
Unless you see a fish swimming around, don’t throw your line in the water, as you will just waste your time. Here are the exact steps that you need to follow to catch fish in Sun Haven:
- Press and hold down the left mouse button to charge your fishing rod. The fullness of the meter will decide how far you throw the hook.
- Aim where you want to cast the line with the mouse and release the left mouse button when you feel the meter has charged enough for the distance you need.
- Now, if the hook is close enough, the fish will start moving toward your line. The fish will either touch your line a few times or bite instantly. Otherwise, it will bite after touching the hook a few times. Press the left mouse button when the fish bites the line (there will be a water splashing animation, as shown in the image above).
- You will now see a minigame where you have to left-click when the line goes over the yellow or green zones. Press the left mouse button at the right time over any one of those zones and you will catch a fish.
How to Get New Fishing Rods
One of the main problems that people have with the fishing minigame in Sun Haven is how quickly the line moves. The speed of the minigame is based on how rare the fish is. So, if a fish is too hard to catch it might be because your level is too low or you need a new fishing rod.
Even though you start the game with a single fishing rod, given by Peter in the tutorial, there are many fishing rods that you can get. Most of them will increase your skill and make the slider speed in the minigame slower.
