Phasmophobia: How to Add Equipment Loadouts

Phasmophobia is an award-winning, horror investigation, survival game developed and published by British indie game studio Kinetic Games. Played from a first-person perspective, you can play solo or in a group with up to three other players. In order identify the correct ghost type, complete the optional objectives, and finish the contract you will need ghost investigation equipment. There are two types of equipment that you can load up (add) before starting the game. In this guide, we will tell you how to add both types of Equipment Loadouts in Phasmophobia.

Adding or Removing Equipment Loadouts In Phasmophobia

You can add, remove, buy or sell various equipment loadouts before starting the mission in Phasmophobia. There are two types of equipment: Main Equipment and Optional Equipment. Adding Equipment Loadouts to your truck is pretty simple:

1. From the Main Menu go to → Equipment Store. You will see two sections on top: LOADOUTS and SHOP. By default, your Loadout will be empty for the first time. So you will need to add items first. Subsequently it will be saved for you to load from.
2. You can set 2 loadouts (Tabs “1” and “2”)
3. Loadout 1 and 2 gives you the option to load up and save different set of equipment according to the map you will be playing and the ghosts you will be dealing with. They save your equipment choices so that you can simply choose the relevant set to start a new investigation.
4. By default you will land on Loadout 1 → Click the “+” or “–” symbols under Main or Optional Equipment to select how many you want to add or remove.
5. Click → ADD / REMOVE on the bottom right side to add or remove equipment from the Loadout.
6. As you click “+” or “-” for each the equipment on the right column you will see the name of the equipment along with the quantity (QTY) that you currently have in your inventory, and the number of equipment that you just selected (added by clicking “+”) for the Loadout.
7. For example: if you loaded 3 Candles from your inventory (clicked “+” symbol 3 times) then on the right column beside the equipment name “Candle” you will see 5/3. Which means out of a total of 5 Candles from your inventory you added 3 Candles.
8. Once you’re done loading out click → SAVE LOADOUT
9. You can do the same for Loadout set # 2.

For the Optional Equipment you will first need to buy those items if you have not done so already: Go to → SHOP → select equipment → click BUY.
