Phasmophobia is a very popular online co-op, supernatural and psychological horror game. It can be played singleplayer as well as multiplayer. It is highly positively reviewed among horror game enthusiasts, with an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam. You can either play Phasmophobia alone or with your friends as a team of paranormal investigators. How many players can be added to a lobby in Phasmophobia? How Many Players Can Play Phasmophobia?
You can create two types of multiplayer lobbies in Phasmophobia – a public lobby or a private lobby. The maximum amount of players that you can add in Phasmophobia are 2, 3, or 4 players, in either type of lobby.
Officially, you cannot create a lobby in Phasmophobia with more than four players. Lobbies that have more than four players have not been created nor allowed by the Developers.
The developers have not announced if they will expand the feature to allow multiplayer lobbies that can have more than 4 players. As of now, lobbies with more than 4 players are of course modded. Such lobbies cause several in-game issues such as destabilization, corruption of saved data, game glitches, lag, and the loss of all progress.
It also causes issues for the other non-modded lobbies/ players on the same server. Not to mention that you will also be violating Phasmophobia’s EULA that you agreed to. And in case you are reported or detected, you will be banned from playing the game.
So have fun creating lobbies for 2, 3, or 4 friends and enjoy completing the contracts. If you are not afraid to play alone you can opt to play as a Single Player.
However, it might be a good idea to opt for multiplayer for a large location such as Sunny Meadows Mental Institution or other medium-large locations such as Brownstone High School, Maple Lodge Campsite, and Prison so as to complete the mission easily.
