From well-known writers with a flair for making things to adorable animals – your camp has no shortage of life. One of the possible visitors you can have is a young orphan named Yenna and her cute (somewhat strange) cat. But as you progress in Baldur’s Gate 3, Yenna goes missing. It’s so sudden that many players wonder if this is a bug. If you’re curious about this, stick around because we’ll discuss this matter in more detail.

When Yenna Suddenly Disappears in Baldur’s Gate 3

Most players have gone through the main plot with Orin in BG3 and have saved the companion that was kidnapped, only to find Yenna missing from the camp when they go back.

Most of us have found her cat still standing around there, but the girl has disappeared and nobody seems to be talking about it. If this happened to you, you will need go load a save file before your companion got kidnapped by Orin, since it seems to be a bug.

How to Fix Yenna Missing From Camp in BG3

Yenna going missing seems to be unavoidable in BG3, and one of the best ways to save her is by making sure she gets kidnapped. While this seems counter-intuitive, players have found that her kidnapping ensures her safety.

There is some planning involved as well. You need to have Halsin, Lae’zel, and Gale in your party when you head into the sewers. Having any other three members will likely end in her disappearing. At least, this is what many players have found.

Other players discovered that NOT having Lae’zel in their party made the situation easier to handle. Forcing the game to kidnap Lae’zel and then making sure to play the cutscene with Orin (as Lae’zel) trying to kill Yenna works as a means to save the child.

You’ll have to pass Intimidation or Persuasion Checks (rather high at 25), after which Yenna will be released by Orin. This way, the kid and her cat will remain in the camp.

However, if you get to the sewers before the scene with Yenna, there is a strong chance that she’ll disappear.

Some players have found that by spamming Rest with Halsin and Gale in their party, they could manage the situation better. They rested immediately after talking to Gortash (he warns you about an imposter in your camp), ensuring the Orin scene triggers as it should.

You should be able to keep Yenna alive and in your camp. There are several ways to approach this situation; just plan ahead.
