As you delve into the politics of the Druid Grove, you realize that sooner or later you will have to choose between the Tieflings and the Druids. Booth factions have their ups and downs and both want the other one gone. No matter who you like, if you manage to befriend Mol, the leader of the Tiefling children, you will get a quest to steal the sacred Idol of Silvanus that the Druids are using to seal the grove. Though there are many reasons not to do it, in this guide, we will tell you exactly why you should steal the sacred Idol of Silvanus for Mol in Baldur’s Gate 3 and how to do it without fighting the Druids.
Should You Steal the Sacred Idol of Silvanus in BG3 for Mol?
Yes, you should steal the sacred Idol of Silvanus in BG3 for Mol because you can obtain two items from this ordeal:
- Idol of Silvanus
- Ring of Protection
The Idol of Silvanus will give you Proficiency in Nature and Animal Handling. If you give it to Mol, you will get as a reward the Ring of Protection which gives you +1 AC and +1 Saving Throw.
The Ring of Protection is a really good piece of equipment and you can always just pickpocket the Idol of Silvanus back from Mol once you get the reward from her. The plot will just continue as if she has the Idol either way.
How to Steal the Sacred Idol of Silvanus Without Making the Druids Hostile in BG3
To steal the sacred Idol of Silvanus in BG3 without fighting the Druids, you will first need to get rid of Kagha. You can do this by heading to the small island southeast of Auntie Ethel’s Teahouse and finding the wooden crevice in the tree there.
This will give you evidence that Kagha is working with the Shadow Druids, allowing you to defeat her and the hidden evil Druids. Even if you spare or end Kagha, you will need to get rid of the Shadow Druids to stop the ritual from happening.
Now, just send Astarion to steal the Idol of Silvanus without being seen and fast travel him somewhere far to make sure no one sees him. Then, bring him back and give the Idol to Mol to get the Ring of Protection.
And that is all you need to know about how to steal the sacred Idol of Silvanus in Baldur’s Gate 3. Check out other interesting BG3 guides and articles:
