If you are an old-school fan of the Fire Emblem franchise, you have probably heard of Marth before. An announcement trailer was recently released by Nintendo. It showed the new protagonist of Fire Emblem Engage and the resurgence of a fan favorite, Marth. To watch the trailer, continue on reading this article.

Fire Emblem Engage Announcement Trailer

The good people at Nintendo have decided to give us a long and hard look at the new Fire Emblem game, Engage, that will come out on January 20th, 2023. We can see the new red-and-blue-haired protagonist along with Marth, with some gameplay also along the way.

At the moment the public’s opinion seems to be mixed. Gamers either expect the older characters to intrude in this new story and ruin the narrative, or be irrelevant and just serve as fan service. Either way, the fandom does not know what to expect from Fire Emblem Engage.

So, will Marth be brought back from the grave by the devs for clout or will he actually be relevant to the story? Only time will tell.

Indeed, the graphics do look good and the voice actors seem to have delivered a beautiful performance, as usual. The gameplay however does seem to be the same old Fire Emblem experience that we’ve gotten used to.

Fire Emblem Engage will become available on Switch on January 20th, 2023. So, make sure to write that down.
