In every medieval world, one of the most important things you can get is a horse. They are your fastest means of transportation (after fast travel) and they can also help you in battle. When you go to war in Gloria Victis, a horse will make sure that you can go from one castle to another in seconds. Though getting a horse isn’t hidden behind a paywall, like in most other MMOs, horses can still be hard to get for rookies. How to Get and Tame a Horse in Gloria Victis
There are random points on the map of Gloria Victis where wild horses will occasionally spawn. At these locations, players can play a little minigame and tame the horses to use them as mounts. You can find the map with the horse spawns in Gloria Victis below.
Another way to get horses is to just buy them from the player market. A lot of players will always be selling horses, so you can keep an eye out there.
To start taming a wild horse in Gloria Victis, just approach it and press E. Now, the taming minigame will start. What you have to do is to aim towards a direction, as indicated by the game, and click the screen.
You can tell if you are aiming in the right direction if you pay attention to the white lines that you also use for combat.
The minigame does not decide if you will tame the horse or not, it will actually decide the level and age of the horse.

Horses have three important stats when you tame them:
- Age
- Level
- Maximum Level
The level a horse has when you tame it is not extremely relevant, but the age and max level are. Once a horse reaches 100% age, it will slowly start to lose durability, making them useless.
The maximum level a horse can have in Gloria Victis is 100, so having a horse with level 30 max level is really bad.
