Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader - Can You Rotate Grand Strategist Zones Answered

When you have to make the choice to evolve into a new Archetype in Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader, most players likely get a bit intimidated by the Grand Strategist. The whole idea of using zones that give various advantages and disadvantages sounds very strange and complex. The zones that you can deploy as a Grand Strategist are very fun to use and can actually turn around a fight if you place them right. However, the Rear and Back Zones are 2×5, which means you need to place them in the right angle to get the most out of them. So, can you actually rotate the zones a Grand Strategist uses in Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader? Here is the answer.

Can You Rotate Grand Strategist Zones in Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader?

The Grand Strategist has the ability in the first round of a battle to create special areas that give advantages to allies and disadvantages to enemies.

Though the most useful one, the Frontline zone, is a square and you don’t have to think too much about its placement, the other two are 2×5 areas, which means you need to place them in the right angle to get the most out of them.

Unfortunately, there is no way to rotate the Grand Strategist zones in Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader. The areas that aren’t square will be placed from the Grand Strategist’s point of view. So, if your character wants to place the zone to the right, it will rotate to face them.

This means that if you want to rotate a Grand Strategist area you will need to move your character to a better position and then place it. Otherwise, you will just have to position the zone in the wrong angle and get the most out of it.

And that is all you need to know about how to rotate Grand Strategist zones in Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader. Check out other interesting Rogue Trader guides and articles:
