Soulstice is a story-rich, hack-and-slash, action RPG game by Reply Game Studios. You’ll play as Briar, who is one of the Ashen Knights, accompanied by her sister Lute, a ghost specter. As you play, you’ll learn their story of how they were transformed into Chimeras and sent on a deathly mission to save a city. The transformation grants Briar superhuman strength, while her sister Lute gets ethereal powers. Excitingly, there are tons of in-game character upgrades to Briar and Lute’s skills and weaponry. Character Creation in Soulstice
Soulstice has a few characters out of which you play only one – Briar. There is no character creation or manual customization in Soulstice. However, you can upgrade the two characters Briar and her spectral sister Lute, who accompanies you at all times.
Playing as Briar, you’ll traverse the desolate expanse of Ilden, a towering city overrun by otherworldly horrors and transformed inhabitants. You’ll have your spectral sister Lute by your side who helps you with her magical powers in battles.
(Warning: Spoilers ahead!) The amazing part about this game is that while you can play only Briar, you get to upgrade both Briar and Lute in terms of skills and weapons.
Make sure you’ve learned all the important attacks including how to do perfect counters, so you can dispatch enemies in a stylish way! While you’re on this perilous journey to seal the rift, you’ll meet Layton the Observer (who gives you the opportunity to upgrade). You’ll also meet Donovan, who is a Chimeran Knight, like Briar.
Through this mission of darkness and despair, you’ll also come across other evil characters like Lord Dugal and Kordelia the Reaper. Apart from them, there are tons of enemies that spawn all over the map including the Corrupted, Wraiths, and the Possessed.
New Playable Character Form
Once you’ve finished the game, you’ll automatically unlock a new playable character form – Briar’s Transcendent State. Briar gains this powerful form after undergoing a transformation that grants her a new and enhanced set of moves, attack combos, and fighting abilities.
