Roots of Pacha is a mystical farming simulator that will make you pass challenges to improve your clan in the stone age. Though everything is relatively nice and realistic in the outside world, in the Cave, players will have to deal with a lot of magical things. You probably have already gotten the Armadillo and Owl forms by giving the right offerings to their respective totems and completing their challenges. However, the Monkey Totem should be a bit harder to find than the other two. In this guide, we will show you the exact location of the Monkey Totem in Roots of Pacha, what offering you will need to give it to start the challenge, and how to complete the puzzle.

Where to Find the Monkey Totem in Roots of Pacha
Players can find the Monkey Totem by going from the Beach Cave west and then north 3 rooms. You can see the exact map from the Beach to the Monkey Totem in the image below.
If you haven’t discovered the Beach Cave yet, you can try to go from No Man’s Rock west once and then north as much as you can until you reach the Monkey Totem. It should be almost the same path, but much longer. If you don’t know how to get there either, you can use our full map of the Cave in Roots of Pacha.

Offering for Monkey Totem in Roots of Pacha
There are three offering items that you will need to give the Monkey Totem in Roots of Pacha, the O sign (left slot), the M sign (middle slot), and the X sign (right slot). Here is what each one of them means:
- O (Left Slot) – Fruit Juice
- M (Middle Slot) – Flour
- X (Right Slot) – Fermented Fish
All of these items will be unavailable from the start of the game and you will need to unlock the Mortar and Pestle, Press, and Fermenter ideas first.
At the Fermenter, you can place any fish inside and wait for a few hours to get Fermented Fish. At the Press, you can use Tomatoes or Strawberries to make Fruit Juice. And, at the Mortar and Pestle, you can grind Wheat or any type of grain to make Flour.
How to Complete the Monkey Totem Challenge in Roots of Pacha
You will now have to play instruments to raise specific rocks and then jump over them to reach the end of the puzzle.
Here is what you need to do to complete the Monkey Totem Challenge Puzzle in Roots of Pacha:
- Play the green xylophone and jump to the next island.
- Play the yellow flute and jump to the next island to the North.
- Jump to the right and down to the next island.
- Play the blue xylophone and go up where the new rock just rose.
- Play the green ocarina and go back to the South-West and then to the North.
- Play the blue xylophone and head West.
- Play the orange xylophone and head East and then South-East, all the way to the island with the ocarina. Jump again North to the next island and play the green ocarina.
- Now go West and then North and the puzzle is done.
You will also need to be careful while jumping from one ledge to the next as you can fall in the water if you choose the wrong jumping direction.
