One of the first animal totems you will find in the Caves in Roots of Pacha will be the Horse Totem. Though you might think that you are supposed to solve its riddle when you discover it, you actually won’t be able to do anything until you reach the late game. The Horse Totem has eluded many players. However, we have figured out exactly what offering you are supposed to give it. Here is what offering item you need to give the Horse Totem in Roots of Pacha, where to find it, and how to get your first horse.

Where to Find the Horse Totem in Roots of Pacha
If you’ve reached No Man’s Rock, then getting to the Horse Totem will be a breeze. To get to the Horse Totem in Roots of Pacha, you will first need to learn to complete the Owl Totem challenge.

Once you do, you can follow the map above to get to the Horse Totem room. Your biggest problem will be getting past A Very Dark Room, as you won’t see anything and will get very confused.
After you make it to the Horse Totem room, you will be able to come here at any time using the Glyptodon fast travel method.
Offering for Horse Totem in Roots of Pacha – Alfalfa Location
The offering that you will need to give the Horse Totem in Roots of Pacha is called Alfalfa. Players can only obtain this item once they build 10 Pyramids by completing Prophecies.
The night after you manage to build your tenth Pyramid, the earth will shake again. Thus, a new part of the Jungle will appear. You will now find chickens and a stable where horses used to live.

At this location, you can find a piece of grass that is called Alfalfa. Pick it up and give it to the Horse Totem. You can see it in the image above. Once you give the Alfalfa to the Horse Totem, a room will open and you will find horses.
How to Get Horses in Roots of Pacha
To get horses in Roots of Pacha, players will need to give the adequate offering to the Horse Totem and open the special space where horses live. You can then just tame them as you would any animal using the flute.
Once you have horses, you can start getting Manure from them. Players will need this resource to complete one of the final Prophecies.
