There are a lot of important resources in Roots of Pacha that you can use to upgrade your buildings and start making a lot of Contributions. The first mining resource you will find, besides Stone, is Flint. Flint will be useful to get the first tools in the game and get the Glyptodon and Owl Totem powers. However, to advance and get better powers and materials, you will need to get Obsidian. So, here is how you can get Obsidian in Roots of Pacha and exactly where in the Cave you will start finding it.

How to Get Obsidian in Roots of Pacha
To get Obsidian in Roots of Pacha, you will first need to complete the Owl Totem puzzle and then you can get to the deeper parts of the Cave. Once you get the Owl power, you can head over to the A Short Flight room and fly toward the northern part of the Cave.
After getting through the next room, you will reach a room called A Very Dark Room. This is a relatively hard puzzle to beat where you will have to walk through the darkness to reach the next room.
The exact room to the right of A Very Dark Room is the first location in the Cave where you will find and get Obsidian in Roots of Pacha. From then on, you will find a lot of Obsidian nodes all over the Cave, until you bump into Copper nodes.
If you don’t have a Flint Hammer yet, you won’t be able to destroy Obsidian nodes. However, you can still destroy normal rocks that have a high chance to give you Obsidian once you pass A Very Dark Room.
