Just deserts?
During a recent live stream, Pearl Abyss’ Mr. J revealed upcoming changes coming to Black Desert in the coming months. While details were sparse, he mentioned some improvements coming to the game’s PvP systems, and hinted at a new class, presumed to be called ‘Gunslinger,’ that’s in development and expected sometime next year.
Among the PvP changes a new guild ranking system and championship is being introduced, as well as a more refined and condensed node war system that is expected to cut the time commitment in half to about an hour. Mr. J also mentioned a new User Agreement that reflects their intolerance of toxic behavior and the use of macros in-game. Concept art was also shown for a new outfit coming to the Pearl Shop.
While the live stream merely stated that a new class was being designed for release sometime next year, Pearl Abyss has since teased the weapons that’s believed to belong to the new gunslinger class. She’s presumed to be female and she starts out with a star-themed revolver, and later receives a no-nonsense, 8 lb shotgun to duel wield. PA put a lot of care and detail into both weapons. Thanks to Chris Poli for re-posting the Korean teaser trailer:
Gunslinger is an Ascension class, according to data miners, so she’s able to use both weapons instead of choosing one at a time and investing skill points on each.
Additionally, Pearl Abyss plans to show their single-player prequel, Crimson Desert, once again at this year’s Game Awards complete with a release date. There is a lot to be excited about for Black Desert fans on the horizon! Are you into Black Desert and excited about the future? Are you excited for Crimson Desert? Hit me up in the comments!
