Puzzle Shogi Solutions in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth
One detail even mega fans of the Like a Dragon franchise may not notice is that ever since Yakuza 6’s release in 2016, RGG Studio stopped making new Shogi puzzles and has instead been reusing older ones. Infinite Wealth breaks this trend by introducing new puzzles for the first time in years, here is a step-by-step guide for these new puzzles!
Puzzle 1
The first puzzle solution is extremely simple as all you need to do is take the spare piece from your hand and place it in between the two pieces already on the board.

Puzzle 2
For the second puzzle, place your spare piece directly under the piece in the middle for an instant checkmate.

Puzzle 3
To solve the third puzzle you need to take the spare piece from your hand and place it directly beneath the two pieces to the left of the formation.

Puzzle 4
For the fourth puzzle, you need to take the central piece that is labeled with an “S” and move it directly up one space. You will be given the option to promote it, but do NOT if you want to checkmate.

Puzzle 5
When starting the fifth puzzle, take the piece in the bottom right of the board and move it four spaces diagonally. Upon placing it you’ll recieve an instant checkmate.

Puzzle 6
From this point onward, each puzzle will require multiple moves from you. Begin puzzle 6 by taking your spare piece and moving it next to the piece in the top left corner.

Next, you’ll need to move the piece in the bottom right up one space diagonally. You’ll be given the option to promote it, accept it and you’ll be given an instant checkmate.

Puzzle 7
Begin puzzle 7 by first taking your spare piece and moving it into the top right corner of the board.

Then for your second move, take the K piece on the right side of the board and move it into this position. When given the option to promote it, do NOT!

Puzzle 8
For the first turn of puzzle 8, move the B piece in the middle of the right formation down one space diagonally. Promote it when prompted with the choice.

On the second turn, move the L piece next to it up one space. Once again, promote it when given the choice and you’ll get the checkmate.

Puzzle 9
When starting puzzle 9, you must first take the S piece in the middle of the formation and move it up right one space diagonally. Promote it when the game prompts you to.

For your second move, take the spare piece you have and place it in between the two pieces on the right.

Puzzle 10
For the final puzzle, spend your first turn by moving the large R piece one space to the right. When giving the option, choose to promote it.

Finish things off by taking the top left piece and moving it down, placing it directly next to the R piece you just moved. This will earn you your final checkmate of puzzle Shogi!

Puzzle Shogi Rewards
Each checkmate you just earned in Puzzle Shogi will grant you Shogi Points, with the higher difficulty levels granting a larger amount of Shogi Points.
Shogi Points can be exchanged at the Shogi stall for a wide variety of rewards including materials for crafting weapons, stat-increasing drinks, Job EXP manuals, taxi blueprints, and the OST to the Atlus JRPG Soul Hackers 2.
