Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth - Wait for Me Substory Guide

Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku’s Like a Dragon franchise is well known for having some of the best side quests in gaming. Naturally, these sidequests only got more radical as the franchise made the leap to the JRPG genre. Some of these sidequests can be rather difficult to perfect though as they require the player to remember information they are only briefly told. Such as the quest Wait for Me which sees Ichiban take on the role of a waiter at a restaurant. If you want to be the best waiter around, here is a guide for the Wait for Me Substory in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth!

Wait For Me Substory Guide for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

The Wait For Me substory in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is separated into three separate phases, all of which require the player to make different types of choices as a waiter in a restaurant.

The first phase of the substory will require you to choose the volume of your voice, the second will require you to memorize orders, and the third will have you select specific dishes.

Phase One: Greeting Customers

For this first and easiest phase of the substory, you merely need to select how loud Ichiban speaks to customers. Energetic customers prefer a loud lawyer while elegant customers prefer a refined lawyer.

If the customers are speaking softly do not scream at them. Match the mood of the conversation. If you still require a step-by-step guide on the correct answers:

  • The first woman to come by is energetic, so raise your voice and give a friendly response to her.
  • Your second customer is a serious businessman, so give a quieter more refined response.
  • Finally, the third customer is a full family of four, so give a loud and friendly response.

Giving the correct responses in this phase of the substory will increase your Passion and Style personality stats slightly.

Phase Two: Take Orders

The second half of the Wait For Me substory in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will require you to take the orders of the customers who just arrived and inform the chef of the restaurant.

This is the hardest part of the substory by far as each customer will change their order multiple times as you talk to them. After much trial and error though, you will learn these are the correct orders:

  • The cheerful lady who arrived first will request an Ahi Poke and three Haupia.
  • The man wearing black next to her will request one Acai Bowl and the Lau Lau.
  • The elegant businessman will request a Mahi Mahi.

Phase Three: Pick the Correct Meals

After giving the correct orders to the chef, you’ll move on to the third phase of the substory. Which will have you deliver three dishes to the family who arrived earlier. To deliver these dishes, the player must first memorize this image of them all and remember their names.

The first dish to be delivered is a Lau Lau. On the table in front of you will be three dishes, the one you need to deliver is placed to the left.

For the second dish, you’ll be told to bring out a Kalua Pig, but wait, that isn’t on the menu! One of the dishes on the table also looks different from the menu though, so select the center dish and bring it to the family.

After delivering the family their food in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth style, they’ll ask you for the owner’s name (Obipo) so they can thank him. In addition to this, you’ll receive an Employee Meal, an Epicurean Epithet, and $300 as a reward for completing the substory!
