Orangee, an anonymous leaker who claims to be a game tester, just outed himself as a troll after claiming that he made up the leaks about a MediEvil 2 Remake that’s been making rounds on the internet over the past few days.
In a discussion on a comment section on a Polish site, a user asked Orangee if he was “trolling journalists again?” He replied that he wrote “MediEvil 2 Remake” as a response to a query about games they’d like to see in the upcoming May PlayStation showcase. But, for some reason, a video game news site picked it up and reported it as if it was a legitimate leak.
In a rough translation of his reply in the same thread, Orangee then calls out the “poor insiders” covering his leak. He then jokes about another leaker that no one is writing about despite leaking information such as pre-alpha footage of games, even spoiling Rise of the Ronin before its official announcement in September 2022.
But, that’s not where it ends. Orangee allegedly has several different accounts, including Reddit. In one account, he purposely drops fake news about the MediEvil 2 Remake to keep the ruse up. It turns out that they enjoy fueling misinformation and trolling video game websites with fake leaks.
However, at least one of the alleged alternate accounts is denying any association with the leaker.
Is Sony Working On a MediEvil 2 Remake?

Sony released a remake of the original MediEvil game in 2019, much to the surprise of the series’ nostalgic fans.
Unfortunately, unlike the earlier remakes of fellow PlayStation stalwarts such as Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Spyro Reignited Trilogy, it didn’t do well. The re-release received mixed reviews from critics and the sales were ultimately underwhelming. This made a potential remake of its sequel doubtful.
Nevertheless, MediEvil and MediEvil 2 were some of the best games of the PSone era. It’s still possible that Sony might consider making a remake of the sequel in the future. If it happens, it won’t be related to Orangee’s leaks.
For now, the closest thing to a new MediEvil game that could potentially happen is a PC port of the MediEvil remake.
