In the mid-way point through your exploration of the Vatican City, you’ll find the Sacred Wounds Puzzle in the Underworld. Generally, this puzzle only requires a bit of concentration to solve, as the hints are all over the place, but there are many moments where players can get confused during quests like these. With 5 levers, a lot of murals, and dark spaces, I certainly didn’t have an easy time solving this one. Activating the Puzzle
- Locate the Sacred Wounds Mural (the one in the middle with Jesus on the cross).
- Pour wine into the basin situated in front of the mural.
- This action will reveal five levers on different parts of Jesus’ body in the mural.
Decoding the Murals
To solve the puzzle, you need to set each lever to a specific Roman numeral. These numerals correspond to other murals in the area. To reveal these numbers, you need to walk up to each one of the murals and pour wine into their corresponding basins. Doing these will reveal their numbers inside the basins.
