Weapons Aspects are one of the best ways to make each run for each player in Hades 2 extremely different. These are the things that will make players debate endlessly about their favorite weapon in the game. However, it can take a while to unlock them if you don’t know how to do it and you might want to know in advance what advantages they might offer. So, here’s a full list of all the weapon aspects in Hades 2, including hidden ones that aren’t available when unlocking the base aspects, what each one of them does, and how much it costs to make them and upgrade them.
If you have any questions or need any extra help, please hit me up on Discord, since I’m always available there!
How to Unlock Weapon Aspects
To unlock different weapon aspects recipes in Hades 2, you will need to have explored at least 3 different regions, defeated Hecate at least 5 times, and have already unlocked at least 4 weapons.
If you do, Hecate will grant you the Aspects of Night and Darkness Incantation and you’ll unlock all of the aspects recipes at the Silver Pool.
How to Unlock Hidden Weapon Aspects
The incantation from above will unlock 2 variants of each weapon and their original version’s upgrades as recipes. However, there’s a 3rd hidden variant you can unlock once you’ve done these things:
- Craft all other aspects for a specific weapon.
- One aspect must be upgraded to Rank V.
- Speak to the Waking Phrase giver.
Each weapon type has a Waking Phrase giver. You can easily tell who it is since each weapon has an aspect with the name of one of the characters (eg: Aspect of Artemis). Once you’ve met the first two conditions, talk to the Waking Phrase giver, get the specific phrase, and go to the Silver Pool to see the new aspect recipe.

How to Get Nightmare
All of the weapon aspect upgrades are done using Nightmare. Nightmare is a special resource you can get by completing Testaments, available at the Oath of the Unseen. Basically, in the end game, you can make your runs harder and receive as a reward Nightmare, based on the increase in difficulty and challenges.
How to Get Rank VI Weapons
The only way to get the Rank VI upgrade bonus from weapons is to get the Premium Service Legendary Hephaestus boon. It increases your weapon’s rank by +1, which, at Rank V, raises you to the final and best level.
