Epic Games’ extremely popular Battle Royale game, Fortnite, is no stranger to leaks. Fortnite Chapter 5 in particular has seen two major leaks this week. The first came from the PlayStation store, whose banner advertisement for Chapter 5 had spoiled the reveals of Peter Griffin. The second came from a well-known Fortnite leaker and data miner @iFireMonkey on Twitter.
On the morning of December 7, 2023, @iFireMonkey posted new Fortnite skins that had been data mined in version V28.01 of the game. These skins included new looks for Fortnite’s original cast of characters, but what caught the internet’s eye most was the upcoming collaborations.
Dragon Ball fans quickly began to spread and post that in the upcoming collab, they would get to play as the popular villains Frieza and Cell. While Fortnite had received a Dragon Ball villain in a previous collab with Goku Black, fans deeply desired to play as a more iconic character like Frieza.
Frieza and Cell will both be receiving multiple skins as well. Frieza players will be able to change between his Base Form, Final Firm, and Golden Form while Cell players will be able to play as this Imperfect Form and Perfect Form.
The other collaboration coming to Fortnite soon will be with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. All four of the Turtles will be added in addition to their iconic weapons. TMNT fans around the world are also pleased to see that April O’Neil will also be added in the upcoming collaboration.
Surprisingly, both April and the Turtles don’t appear to be based on any previous adaptations of the characters, but rather have new designs unique to Fortnite. April fans in particular are loving the new look the game has given her.
Both the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration and the third Dragon Ball collaboration are expected to be joining Fortnite in the near future, as their models and equipment have already been added to the game in the newest patch.
Fortnite is currently available to play on Android, IOS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series S|X, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
