One of the most iconic parts of the Final Fantasy franchise is its wide range of summonable entities that can help you in battle. With many of these creatures such as Shiva and Bahamut having appeared in a majority of Final Fantasy games to date and receiving constant redesigns. Which is why it’s no surprise that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’s world has plenty of summon materia for you to obtain and use. If you are curious about how many iconic summons are available in this game, here is a guide on how to get all summons in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
How to Get All Summons in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
There are three different ways to obtain summons in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. There are summons which you will start the game with, summons which you can obtain via transferring save data, and summons you can claim via defeating them in Chadley’s Combat Simulator. Below is a list of each summon and how to obtain it.
Titan
To obtain the Titan Summon materia you must defeat it in Chadley’s Combat simulator after reaching the Grasslands region of the game. The Titan materia can be further strengthened by completely all three Divine Intel in the Grasslands region.
Leviathan
In order to summon Leviathan, the guardian diety of Wutai, you must have save data from Final Fantasy VII Remake on your PlayStation 5. You will automatically obtain his materia once you perform a save transfer. This summon cannot be strengthened.
Phoenix
After reaching the Junon region of the game, Chadley’s combat simulator will be updated with a new fight against the Phoenix. Defeat this creature in battle and you’ll obtain its summon Materia. You can then further strengthen this materia by analyzing all three divine Intel in the Junon region.
Ramuh
To obtain the Ramuh summon materia you must have a cleared save file of Final Fantasy VII Remake: INTERmission on your PlayStation 5. Once you have transfered this save data, you will automatically obtain this summon. Ramuh cannot be strengthened in any way.
Alexander
Once you’ve reached the Corel region of the game, you’ll unlock access to a new combat simulator trial against Alexander. Defeat this colossus in battle to unlock the ability to summon him. The Alexander summon can be further strengthened by obtaining all three Divine Intel in the Corel region.
Chocobo and Moogle
The Chocobo and Moogle summon materia is already in your inventory upon starting the game. Simply equip it to any character and you’ll be able to summon this duo into battle. Unfortunately they cannot be strengthened in any way.
Kujata
One of the franchise’s most obscure summons, Kujata, makes its triumphant return in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. To obtain this summon you must first wait until you reach the Gongaga region of the game. Once here, simply defeat the Kujata battle in Chadley’s combat simulator. You can then further strengthen the summon by analyzing all divine Intel in the area.
Ifrit
The fearsome Ifrit has always been seen as a tutorial summon in most Final Fantasy games and perhaps that is more true here than ever before. As the Ifrit summon materia is in yoir inventory right from the start of the game. Unfortunately he cannot be strengthened in any way.
Bahamut Arisen
While the original Bahamut summon is not obtainable in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, it’s stronger variant Bahamut Arisen can be obtained in the Cosmo Canyon region of the game!
Upon reaching this area, prepare for battle and attempt to face it in Chadley’s combat simulator. Defeating this creature will grant you the ability to summon it. You can also greatly strengthen this summon by examining all Divine Intel in the area.
Shiva
The queen of ice, Shiva, is available to be summoned as soon as the game begins. Her materia is already in your inventory, equip her to any character to summon her into battle.
Odin
The final summon you can obtain in the game is Odin himself. Once you teach the Nibelheim region of the game he shall be added to the combat simulator. Like all prior summon, simply defeat him to obtain his summon materia and scan the Divine Intel in the region to strengthen him!
