Exciting news for Fate fans and gamers everywhere! On August 10th, 2023, game publisher Lasengle hosted a livestream on the official Fate/Grand Order Youtube channel to discuss the future of the popular mobile gacha game as well as show off new info about the upcoming Koei Tecmo developed action game Fate/Samurai Remnant.
Opening Cutscene for Fate/Samurai Remnant revealed
At the beginning of the Stream, the opening cutscene for Fate/Samurai Remnant was shown off in its full glory, giving fans a glimpse of the beautiful Cloverworks animation that they will see at the start of each playthrough. During the stream the opening was also uploaded to Koei Tecmo’s various YouTube channels
New Servants for Fate/Samurai Remnant Showcased
After showing off this opening cutscene, the livestream changed focus to show off four rogue servant characters who the player will encounter throughout the game. These rouge servants are not involved with the Holy Grail War that shall be the game’s central focus, but they are expected to play a major role in the game’s narrative.
Observant Fate fans will immediately be able to identify three of these rouge servants are the Assassin-class servant Li Shuwen (voiced by Kunihiko Yasui), the Caster-class servant Circe (voice by Himika Akaneya,) and the Archer-class servant Gilgamesh (Voiced by,Tomokazu Seki). The identity of the fourth servant in this group remains a secret for now as they are an entirely new character.
The appearances of Li Shuwen and Gilgamesh in particular are exciting for Fate/ fans as Li Shuwen had previously appeared in another Japanese-themed Fate story: Fate/GUDAGUDA Order and Gilgamesh is a fan favorite favorite character who has appeared in nearly all current Fate/ works
