Fate/Samurai Remnant Reveals Gilgamesh DLC

Fate/Samurai Remnant Reveals Gilgamesh DLC

Today, Type-Moon held end-of-the-year television news program “Fate Project New Years 2023”. During this event, several details about upcoming Fate games and anime were unveiled. The company began the festivities by revealing the first DLC episode for Fate/Samurai Remnant’s DLC pass.

This first DLC episode “Keian Command Championship ” will prominently feature the fan-favorite character Gilgamesh, making the servant playable during the events of the DLC.

While Gilgamesh was in the base game version of Fate/Samurai Remnant, he was only featured as a shopkeeper and an optional super-boss, with players unlocking a secret ending if they can defeat him.

With this first DLC focusing on making a character who was previously an NPC playable, many are wondering if the later DLCs will make other NPC servants such as Caster playable characters.

This DLC won’t be the first time Gilgamesh has been playable in a Fate game with action gameplay, as he had previously been playable in both Fate/Extella games. He is expected to have a vastly different moveset here though due to how different Samurai Remnant’s brand of Musou gameplay is from Extella’s.

Keian Command Championship will be the first of three DLC episodes released for Fate/Samurai Remnant in the year 2024. During the news program, we were shown a road map of this DLC, with a new episode released every few months.
