Early in the morning of January 13, 2023, video game publishers Type-Moon and Lasengle held a livestream to reveal details of the upcoming Fate/Samurai Remnant and Fate/Grand Order collaboration event.

During this live stream, it was revealed that three Fate/Samurai Remnant characters would be added to the game alongside the previously announced Yamato Takeru. Two of them would be added to the gacha while one would be given to all players for free.

The welfare servant to be given to all players who play the event will be Fate/Samurai Remnant’s protagonist: Miyamoto Iori. Iori will be a 4-Star Saber servant. There are currently no details on his Noble Phantasm type nor skills.

The second servant to be added in this event will be Ushi Gozen, the younger version Of Minamoto no Raikou. Unlike in Samurai Remnant where she was a Rider, she will be added to Fate/Grand Order as a 5-Star Avenger servant. Like Iori, there are no details on her Noble Phantasm type nor skills at this time.

Finally, the third servant added to the event will be Ushi Gozen’s master: Yui Shousetsu. Yui will be added to the gacha as a 4-star Caster servant. Continuing a trend with Fate/Grand Order where all homunculi except Chloe fall under the Caster class.

The Fate/Samurai Remnant collaboration event for Fate/Grand Order will begin on January 17, 2023. An animated trailer was released for the event showcasing that various Fate/Grand Order characters such as Mochizuki Chiyome will replace Samurai Remnant characters in the plot.

In addition to this Samurai Remnant collaboration news, Lasengle revealed a new system by which they will rerun previous events. Japanese Fate/Grand Order players will now have the option to vote between past events, with the most voted for being reran.

Fate/Grand Order is currently available to download for Android and IOS devices while Fate/Samurai Remnant is currently available to purchase for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and on PC via Steam.
