Sun Ce, the little conqueror, is one of the most iconic characters in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and a big part of why many end up supporting the Sun clan and Wu in most of the Dynasty Warriors games. In Dynasty Warriors Origins, if you go down the Wu path, you’ll end up going the historical route and helplessly watch as Sun Ce gets killed by a barrage of arrows. But what if you can change that? What if you’re not so helpless after all? In this guide, I’ll show you exactly how to save Sun Ce while going down the Wu route in Dynasty Warriors Origins and start a hypothetical route.
How to Save Sun Ce in Dynasty Warriors Origins
Of course, the only way you can save Sun Ce is by going down the Wu route, supporting the Sun family to get absolute power in China. Otherwise you will not participate at the Suppression of Wu battle in Chapter 4 and won’t get the chance to save him.
As opposed to saving Sun Jian, this is actually relatively easy. All you need to do is, at around the 3 minute mark, follow Sun Ce into the forest to the west. Right after entering it, reinforcements will appear to attack Sun Quan and Sun Ce will disappear.
This is when you’ll need to go to the location shown in the image below. You’ll find a cave there to a hidden area. Make sure to use the Sacred Eye to pinpoint it.

At the end of the hidden path, you’ll find Bailuan. Defeat him and Sun Ce will be saved.
Strategy to Get It Done
There really isn’t much to plan for this fight. Before Sun Ce disappears you have time to conquer the two central fortresses to keep Sun Quan safe from the enemy reinforcements. Once you do that, head straight into the forest to Bailuan’s location.
The fight with him should be easier than with the mirage of Zhang Jiao when trying to save Sun Jian. You’ll know you’ve done everything right if you see the Fate Altered notification after Bailuan finished his little defeat speech.
