Gamescom 2026’s Opening Night Live has officially come and gone. On August 25 2026, at 2PM EST, Geoff Keighley came on stage to present multiple hours worth of trailers for games coming out within the next for years. If you were too busy to watch or simply had better things to do than watch hours worth of trailers, below is a fully detailed report of everything that was shown off during this showcase.

NodusFall

The very first announcement at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live came from miHoYo, who announced a game very different from their usual lineup as their new title NodusFall will be going for a more realistic artsyle and what appears to be Monster Hunter-like gameplay.

Rainbow Six Tactics

Next up in the showcase was a new trailer for Ubisoft’s upcoming Rainbow Six strategy RPG spinoff: Rainbow Six Tactics, a turn based title which seems to have gameplay similar to Xcom.

Gears of War: E-Day

The third trailer to be shown was for the upcoming Xbox exclusive shooter Gears of War: E-Day from The Coalition. This trailer was primarily focused around the game’s story. The game is scheduled to release on October 6 2026.

Anata

The next trailer was for Naked Rain’s upcoming open-world RPG Anata. This trailer showcased the various vehicles, jobs, combat systems, and characters that the players will experience in this title. Another feature given great focus in this trailer is how the game will feature not just one, but two large cities to explore. Anata is currently scheduled to release on January 15 2027.

Silent Hill: Downfall

Fans of the Silent Hill franchise were given another look at the upcoming Silent Hill: Downfall in a trailer which heavily focused on the game’s story and the cast who will be bringing these characters to life. The game will be releasing on September 24 2026.

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy

One final launch trailer for the next game Focus Entertainment’s Plague Tale franchise, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy was shown at Gamescom. The game launches this week on August 27, 2026.

Sea of Remnants

Another trailer for Sea of Remnants premiered at Gamescom as well, and just like all of the previous trailers it seems like that this pirate game will be featuring every gameplay mechanic ever conceived and somehow there’s even more to see in this trailer

Crimson Desert

Crimson Desert’s post-launch content received a trailer at Gamescom, which will add extra cutscenes and story moments to the game.

Tides of Annihilation

The next trailer was for the upcoming action game Tides of Annihilation, a title which takes place in both modern day London and medieval Avalon where the player will be able to summon the spirits of the Knights of the Round Table to assist them in saving the world.

Lofsong

Audiences next got to see a trailer for a title from a smaller European dev called Lofsong

Megaman Dual Override

The newest title in the Classic Megaman franchise got another trailer at Gamescom this year, this one showed off plenty of gameplay as well as a robot master called Twinkle Girl. The game is currently scheduled to release in 2027, but fans desperate for any new Megaman content will get to player as him in Pragmata via a new costume for Hugh

Rayman Legends Retold

Ubisoft showed a new trailer for their upcoming remake of Rayman Legends untold, showcasing a macarena stage.

PUBG Dead.Net

PUBG got a trailer at Gamecsoms, this trailer showed sliding on your stomach like a worm, replacing your arms with knives, and more madness than can be listed

Control Resonant

Control Resonant got a new trailer at Gamescom, which showed off cool combat gameplay, a fast paced song, and footage of Casper Darling getting up to some mind-bending shenanigans.

Blood of the Dawnwalker

Bandai Namco’s upcoming RPG Blood of the Dawkwalker received a story trailer at Gamescom, the title is scheduled to come out in just over a week on September 3rd, 2026.

Game of Thrones: War for Westeros

The upcomng Strategy RPG based on A Song of Ice and Fire, Game of Thrones: War of Westeros got another trailer at Gamescom

Dust Origins

A new indie title from Airship Syndicate called Dust Origins was shown at Gamescom. This title is an isometric shooter where the player will need to adapt, survive, and escape a horde of mutant enemies that will attempt to tear them apart

Exodus

A trailer for Exodus was next on the lineup, this trailer focused on a character called Salt, a talking octopus that just wants to be paid who will be an indispensable part of the player’s team during combat. The game is scheduled to launch on April 7 2027.

Warlock: Dungeons and Dragons

An Extended look at Wizards of the Coast’s upcoming action RPG Warlock: Dungeons and Dragons was shown next. This trailer showed plenty of story content for the game as well as some gameplay. The title is scheduled to release in 2027.

1001 Threads of Mizan

An action game inspired by the tales of 1001 arabian night was revealed next, 1001 Threads of Mizan.

Silver Palace House of Greed

A new anime-styled horror title, Silver Palace House of Greed receieved a trailer at Gamescon this year, which showed plenty of the game’s characters and a bit of gameplay

Monster Hunter Outlanders

A mobile title in the Monster Hunter franchise, Monster Hunter Outlanders also got a short trailer

Metro 2039

The next chapter of the Metro franchise got a pretty large showcase next. This title will allegedly be darker and more ambitious than even the games which came before. The game is currently scheduled to launch in February 2027.

Hitman

Agent 47’s next target in Hitman World of Assassination will be Snoop Dogg. This mission will be available from August 27 2026 to September 26 2026.

Aion 2

Aion 2 got a new trailer at Gamescom which showcase exploration, character customization, and combat gameplay. The title is scheduled to launch on October 5th

Petit Planet

Another miHoYo title was showcased as Gamescom as their upcoming farming game Petit Planet got a new trailer. The game is scheduled to launch on November 7, 2026

Aliens: Fire Team Elite 2

20th Century Games decided to horrify audiences will a new trailer for the upcoming Aliens shooter, Aliens Fire Team Elite 2 at Gamescom. This trailer showcased more Xenomorphs than one could feasibly count fighting the player. The Nintendo Switch 2 port of this game is scheduled to launch in September 2026.

1666 Amsterdam

The upcoming 1666 Amesterdam received a story trailer at Gamescom

Show American Story

Next up was a trailer for a very interesting looking action game called Show American Story set during an apocalypse after Japan has colonized America (those two facts are unrelated)

Stage Tour

Fans of older American-centric rhythm games like Guitar Hero will have a game to look forward to as a rhythm game called Stage Tour will be launching on December 10 2026 with dozens of different songs to play.

Crazy Taxi World Tour

The multiplayer of Sega’s upcoming Crazy Taxi reboot got a quick trailer at Gamescom

Gravhounds

An upcoming indie title about a group of animal space rangers who need to explore a planet, collect resources, and fight against dangerous wildlife was the next game to be shown at Gamescom.

Lego Skylines

A Lego version of City Skylines was revealed at Gamescom with a short trailer

Turok Origins

Next up was a new trailer for Turok Origins which was focused on introducing players to the strange world the game takes place in

Path of Exile 2

The full 1.0 release for Path of Exile 2 got a trailer at Gamescom as well as a release date of December 11, 2026

Heroes of Might and Magic 3

Ubisoft would then reveal that their 1999 RPG Heroes of Might and Magic 3 would be receiving a full remake which is currently available to wishlist.

No Law

A first person shooter called No Law got a large trailer at Gamescom. The game is scheduled to release in 2027

Project Zeta

A competitive 4v4 team based title called Project Zeta was the next game to receive a trailer

Cinder City

A horror title called Cinder City was the next game to be shown

Ontos

To keep the horror train going, Frictional Games’ upcoming title Ontos got another gruesome looking trailer

Pony Island 2: Panda Circus

The long awaited Pony Island 2: Panda Circus was the next game to get a trailer. This trailer showcased 2D and 3D gameplay as well as several live action sequences.

Zoopunk

Next up was a trailer for Zoopunk, an action game where the player will control several animal people as they fight hordes of enemies and bosses with their unique abilities.

There Are No Ghosts at the Grand

A musical horror game about cleaning and renovating public locations and then hunting ghosts in them called There Are No Ghosts at the Grand received another trailer at Gamescom

Roco Kingdom

Next was a short look at an upcoming creature collecting RPG called Roco Kingdom

Like or Die

A first person shooter where the player must parkour across floating segments of the city and spawn objects to kill other players called Like or Die was the next game to get a trailer.

Final Fantasy VII Revelation

Final Fantasy VII Revelation was the next game to to be featured in the show with an extended trailer which showcased a large amount of the game, including the WEAPONS and Cid battle gameplay. The game is scheduled to release in Spring 2027.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered

The final announcement of Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 was a Remaster of The Witcher 3 which would included enhanced visuals, changed monster behavior, a revamp of the game’s skill system, new attacks, and so much more.

Alongside this Remaster, the game will be receiving a new expansion called Songs of the Past. This Remaster will be a free upgrade for all owners of The Witcher 3
