The player might think they have completely finished a Duskfade stage when they have gotten every listed collectible in it, but the game actually has a hidden collectible type that it only tells players about when they have unlocked the final stage: Broken Stained Glass. These collectibles are used to fix a stained glass portrait in the Clockwork Academy and are extremely difficult to find, with almost none of them being obtainable the first time you play a stage. All Broken Stained Glass Locations in Duskfade
While the pieces of Broken Stained Glass are not labeled on each stage’s collectible list, there is an easy way of checking if a stage has one to find. When you find all of the collectibles in a stage, it will be marked on the fast travel screen with a Cuckoo sticker. However, if a stage has a piece of hidden glass in it, the sticker won’t have the word “100% written above it.
There are thirteen pieces of Broken Stained Glass hidden throughout Duskfade, with about half of the game’s stages having one hidden within them. However, no stage has more than one. Below I have written out the locations of every piece of Broken Stained Glass in the game, sorted by the game’s stage order.
Erazus Forest Broken Stained Glass
You won’t be able to get the Stained Glass in this area until AFTER you obtain the Pendulum from the Apprentice’s Wing stage. Once you have that item, return to the bridge in the middle of the Erazus Forest stage and unbury this crystalized chest to get a piece of Stained Glass.
Scorched Grove Broken Stained Glass
You won’t be able to get this Stained Glass until AFTER you obtain the Sundial from the Celestial Kingdom stage. Once you have it, ride the grind rails outside of the Fast Travel Point until you reach a wooden platform which has a chest on it. Inside of it is a piece of Broken Stained Glass.
Starstone Mines Broken Stained Glass
You won’t be able to get the Stained Glass in this area until AFTER you obtain the Stopwatch from the Clockwork Academy stage. Once you have that item, make your way along the main path of the Starstone Mines stage until after you pass through the cave with red trees. After that cave, you’ll spot a purple door that you can pass through with the Stopwatch. This will lead to a combat section which will reward you with a chest containing a Broken Stained Glass if you win.
Mount Cinder Broken Stained Glass
You won’t be able to get the Stained Glass in this area until AFTER you obtain the Pendulum from the Apprentice’s Wing stage. Once you have it, return to the start of Mount Cinder and you’ll see find this Stained Glass inside of a buried treasure chest.
Meridian Village Broken Stained Glass
You won’t be able to get the Stained Glass in this area until AFTER you obtain the Pendulum from the Apprentice’s Wing stage. Once you have it, make your way to the waterfall to the left of this stage’s fast travel point and use the bouncy flower to scale up it. In the waterfall cave you’ll spot some orange crystals that you can break with the Pendulum. Behind these crystals is a treasure chest with the Stained Glass.
Great Library Broken Stained Glass
In the large library room near the end of the stage, run to the right side of the room and you’ll find another Echo. After collecting this Echo, turn to your left and you’ll spot an Ancient Coin at the end of a short path with moving books that will attempt to push you away.
After collecting this Ancient Coin, wait for the books to push forward again and then sneak behind the book closest to you to reach a small hidden outcove which contains a treasure chest with a Broken Stained Glass piece.
Canal Hamlet Broken Stained Glass
After crossing the bridge mid-way through the stage, continue along the main path to the left and you’ll reach a room with multiple rocks in the water, a grappling point, and a bouncy plant. To the left of this room, there will be orange crystals that you can break which will lead to a new room which has a buried treasure chest with a piece of Stained Glass within it.
Royal Highroads Broken Stained Glass
You won’t be able to get this Stained Glass until AFTER you obtain the Wings from the Clockmaker’s Rest stage. Once you have them, return to the giant sundial in this stage and spin it until it’s pointed at the boost ring that you can fly through. This will lead you to two small platforms and a chest which has a piece of Broken Stained Glass within it.
Auric Palace Broken Stained Glass
Shortly after the fast travel point, there will be a platform with two grind rails pointed in different directions. Ride the grind rail that goes right and you’ll be brought directly to a buried chest with a piece of Stained Glass inside of it.
Deepthorne Broken Stained Glass
After passing through the first area of the Deepthorne normally, a bouncy plant will appear if you revisit it later. Use this plant to reach the grind rail above it and you’ll reach a buried treasure chest with a Stained Glass piece inside.
Stonetusk Canyon Stained Glass
You won’t be able to get this Stained Glass until AFTER you obtain the Wings from the Clockmaker’s Rest stage. Once you have them, return to the large gear after the Stonetusk Canyon fast travel point that you hit in order to raise a grind rail. Here you will see multiple boost rings that you can fly to in order to reach a buried chest with this piece of stained glass
Desert of the Last Memory Stained Glass
When you are at the giant final gear at the very end of the stage, turn to your left and you’ll see a building that you can fly into. Inside of this building will be a bounce pad and several grapple points that you can use to get to the roof. Once on the roof, walk across the stone platforms to an adjacent building and drop down into in. In here will be an Echo and a Stained Glass Piece.
The Final Broken Stained Glass Piece
The final piece of Broken Stained Glass can only be gathered after you have gotten every other piece in the game. Once you have them all, return to the Clockwork Academy room with the Stained Glass portraits and talk to Cload. He will give you the final piece you need.
Once the portrait has finally been reassembled, you’ll be gifted a diary with some of the game’s most important lore details.
