Toby Fox’s games have become almost known for their incredibly difficult super bosses. Deltarune Chapter 5 is no exception as this chapter’s super boss, Pink (who takes the form of Mad Mew Mew from the Nintendo Switch version of Undertale), will be giving players a run for their money. Of course, that’s only if you can reach her as like the other super bosses in this game, you’ll need to go on a little bit of a quest to find her. If you are having any difficulty finding the Pink boss fight or are trying to figure out the locations of the various pink coins throughout this chapter, then please feel free to follow this walkthrough on how to fight Pink Mad Mew Mew in Deltarune Chapter 5.

How to Fight Pink Mad Mew Mew in Deltarune Chapter 5

In order to reach the Pink Mad Mew Mew boss fight, we’re going to need to buy an item known as the Mystery Key from the Cliff Shop area. Sounds simple enough, right? Well unfortunately the shopkeeper won’t accept our main currency for purchasing this item. Instead, she’ll want us to pay in a special Chapter 5 exclusive currency known as pink coins.

Therefore, before we can even think of going to fight the super boss we’re going to need to scavenge around the castle and the surrounding areas for 10 pink coins.

Where to Find Pink Coins in Deltarune Chapter 5

There are nineteen Pink Coins located in the Dark World in Deltarune Chapter 5, but we’ll only need to find ten of them to purchase the Mysterious Key and fight the secret boss (Getting more will allow you to buy additional items after the boss fight). Below I have compiled the locations of ten easy to grab pink coins throughout the chapter.

Pink Coin 1

This coin is one screen to the left of the End of Garden door. In order to reach it you’ll need to switch into the side-scolling xanadu-like “PetalFeather” mode, then jump and slash at the coin. It’ll automatically be collected and added to your inventory after you do.

Pink Coin 2

This Pink Coin is very well hidden but easy to grab. Return to the shrine where you got the Petal Feather, the jump to the left. This will lead you to a room that you can scale vertically by jumping up leaves. At the top of this room, jump to the right and you’ll be on top of the shrine. Continue to head right and you’ll end up in the room with this coin.

Pink Coin 3

The closest door to this coin is the Hopschef. After arriving, switch to Petalfeather mode and head right. In the next room, hop up the leaves until you reach the door on the left. Return to RPG mode and enter it. In this room, you will have to pass through a Tori Gate and run as you fight monsters to reach a treasure chest containing one Pink Coin.

Pink Coin 4

For this coin, travel to Green’s Shop and then head to the left. Use the flowers in the next room to launch yourself up and then move into the room on the left. This will lead to a difficult platforming sequence where you need to jump across a gap with moving flowers that will reward you with a pink coin at the end.

Pink Coin 5

This Pink Coin is actually on the way to the previous one. Midway through the platforming sequence, if you go down a pit with a gold coin in it, you’ll end up in a room where a pink elephant creature is trying to get a piece of cheese. Wait until it gets the cheese and the floor will fall away. Don’t die during the following sequence and you’ll land in a room with a new door and a pink coin.

We’re going to be revisiting this door later when we get enough coins so keep its location in mind.

Pink Coin 6

From the room where you can find Yellow’s blood stains, head up one room, switch to xanadu-mode, then run into the room on the right. This area will require you to precisely hit various yellow flowers in order to launch yourself to the top of the room where a pink coin will be waiting for you.

Pink Coin 7

To the right of the cafe near the castle entrance, you’ll walk through a paper hall and end up on a ledge with several statues. One of them is hostile, but the other five can be pushed off the ledge. After pushing them all, go down the stairs and you’ll end up in the room you pushed the statues into. Here there will be a treasure chest with a pink coin

Pink Coin 8

The previous coin was a two for one, as if you walk up the stairs next to the previous treasure chest you’ll end up in a room with another pink coin!

Pink Coin 9

Travel to the Hopschief door, then head left into the room with the hedgeclippers and grab the watering can. Next, exit the room via the path on the left. Head north in this room and you’ll find a treasure chest with a pink coin.

Pink Coin 10

For the tenth coin we’re going to grab, teleport yourself to the Mysterious Puzzle room in the castle and position the two blocks you can move in the way pictured above so you can use them to jump onto a platform in the top right of the room. Here, you will find a pink coin.

Once we’ve obtained 10 pink coins, we’ll be able to purchase the Mysterious Key that will be able to open the Pink Door.

Where to Find the Pink Door

Now that we’ve bought the Mystery Key, it’s time to find and open the Pink Door. I already detailed how to reach it when going over one of the Pink Coins above, but just in case you missed it, here are step by step instructions on where to go.

1. Travel to the door by Green’s Shop near the top of the castle

2. Go to the right, and use the flowers in the next room to launch yourself up, proceed into the room on the left.

3. Mid-way through this room, drop down into the pit with a gold coin

4. Wait for the purple creature in the next room to grab the cheese, this will make the whole floor fall away

5. After you fall, you’ll be right in front of the Pink Door.

Once you enter the Pink Door, you’ll almost instantly be sent into the boss fight against Pink Mad Mew Mew. Prepare yourself and make sure you’ve stocked up on items as this is going to be just as tough as the other super bossses.
