In many ways, the most well-known part of Undertale is the boss fight against Sans. This superboss quickly became one of the most well-known in gaming, so it only makes sense that Deltarune would follow suit and have some intense battles of its own. Each chapter of Deltarune features a single superboss that is both tricky to find and tricky to fight. Each boss drops a ShadowCrystal upon defeat, while the purpose of these items is currently unknown they’ll likely have some kind of effect in the game’s seventh chapter in a few years. If you don’t want to be left out of the surprise when that happens, follow this guide on where to find all the superbosses in Deltarune.
Every Superboss Location in Deltarune
Chapter 1: Jevil
Chapter 1’s superboss is completely unchanged from how it was when the demo first released, just follow the instructions below and you will once again be able to challenge Jevil.
Near the end of the game, during the final dungeon, you will gain access to the first floor of the card castle, take the elevator to the right of the entrance and click on “??????” which will send you to the dungeon of the castle. Here you will be able to talk to Jevil within his cell.

After talking to Jevil, you will gain a new dialogue option with Seam, a shopkeeper back in the Fields of Hopes and Dreams area. Head back there using the Warp Door outside the Castle.
Select the “Strange prisoner” dialogue option and Seam will give you the first key you need to open the door as well as the hint “Walk where the stars don’t shine.”
This hint points you toward the Scarlet Forest, where there will be a path in the darkness around the Scissor Dancer area, marked by shining stars. Head down this path and you can find a chest that will give you your second key.

Next return to the Field of Hopes and Dreams and head northeast until you reach the Great Board. Here there will be a puzzle where you need to input the combination of the Card Castle suits, in order from the lowest to the highest.
The password is: Diamond, Heart, Club, Spade.

Once you have all three keys, go back to the Bake Sale and have Malius repair the broken key pieces to create the Door Key. Now that you got it, return back to the dungeon of the Card Castle and use the Door Key on the door and you can fight Jevil.
Chapter 2: Spamton
The game’s second superboss is the lovable and often memed upon Spamton, to fight this crazy character follow the steps below.
Near the end of chapter 2, you will encounter Spamton for the first time. Be sure to spare him, if you lower his health all the way you will be locked out of getting the ShadowCrystal later.
Proceed through the chapter normally until you reach Queen’s Mansion and find a Warp Door, then go back to the Trash Zone. Head to the left and enter Spamton’s store.
Now that you are in his store, you can buy the Keygen key item, but there’s a catch. The prices of all items in this shop are constantly changing until you click on them. So roll the dice until you get a price that you can actually afford.

Return to Queen’s Mansion and explore until you find one of the following rooms
A. a long room with plenty of cars with the Hacker pacing back and forth This Hacker will eventually reveal a switch you need to press to access the basement. Use the KeyGen here and go inside the basement and wander until you find a strange machine.
B. A room with plenty of Queen statues, click on various things in this room until a secret switch pops up, once again you can just use the KeyGen on this to be brought to the basement.

Interact with this machine to get the EmptyDisk and head back to Spamton’s store to get yet another item called the LoadedDisk, then head back to the basement one last time so the super boss will finally begin.
Chapter 3: Roaring Knight
Getting to the Chapter 3 superboss in Delatrune can be very difficult unless you are already planning to go for it when starting your file. To make things worse, missing it will require restarting the entire chapter so pay close attention.
In order to get a legitimate fight against the Roaring Knight in Chapter 3, the player will have to obtain a piece of equipment called the ShadowMantle. Obtaining this weapon requires S-ranking the two boards that the player gets sucked into earlier in the chapter.
To S-Rank the first board, the player must kill every monster to become stronger. Upon reaching LV 3, head to the right side of the map and destroy the cactus, then kill every remaining monster.
Once you have accomplished this, you can destroy trees and go out of bounds. Keep destroying tree tiles in a single direction until you find a chest containing the Ice Key.
Then for the second game, Kill every monster until you are LV 2. After doing that, take a raft and destroy the plant blocking the waterfall. Now raft towards the top of the world until you find a glacier that you can enter with the key.
Here there will be a penguin monster blocking the way that you can’t kill, instead, you have to find a character called White Cloak who can do it for you by heading up and then right.

After killing the penguin, You will find a maze by heading right. Any time you are heading in the wrong direction in the maze, White Cloak will stop moving, use her movement as a guide. Proceed until you exit the maze.
When you have S-ranked both boards, head backstage (the big door labeled “S” on it) and play Ramb’s game.
Now continue playing the game normally until you loop back around into the Green Room after messing around in TV World then head backstage again for one last time.

Get the sword here and become stronger until you reach LV 3, then destroy the barricades. From here on you will proceed into a fairly linear dungeon, progress until you obtain the ShadowMantle.
Once you have the ShadowMantle and equip it to your party member of choice, continue on to the end of the chapter. With the ShadowMantle equipped you will get to fight the Roaring Knight superboss.

Chapter 4: Old Man
Finally, you’ll need to proceed to chapter to fight the game’s most recent Superboss, The Old Man. Thankfully actually challenging him to a fight isn’t as much of a puzzle as the others as he is a character you meet during the story. Follow the steps below to trigger his fight.
In the Old Man’s study, you will see a painting that can be interacted with labeled “Legend of the Magic Ax”. To open the door to the secret boss, you must play notes on a golden piano in the area where you must get the three parts for another piano.
One part of the sheet music can be found to the left of the area where the Bibliox can spawn, at the waterfall. Donate at least 100 Dark Dollars into the waterfall and the path will be revealed. Here you can find part of the sheet music.

Return to where you first met the Old Man to the right of his study, and climb up the rocks to find the second piece of sheet music.

For the last sheet, backtrack to before the study in the area with the darkness balls and head to the left, then climb up. Reach the top to get the last piece.

Return to the piano with the sheet music and the fireplace will turn into an entrance, enter here to fight the Old Man.
