Nearly every sidequest in The Adventures of Elliot will reward the player with a new accessory that they can equip to make themselves stronger or have a unique effect like increase how much damage they can make before their kill chain breaks. Unfortunately, there’s a limit to how many accessories the player can equip at once. At the start of the game, the player can only use a single accessory at a time. Although the game points you in the direction of how to gain extra accessory slots, it’s very easy to forget and overlook them. How to Increase Accessory Slots in The Adventures of Elliot
When you first return to the Age of Safekeeping with Faie after exploring the Age of Restoration, you’ll inevitably walk by the Temple of Trials in Westerea. Upon entering this temple you’ll be told about how it’s a time trial. gauntlet filled with enemies. If you’re like me, you probably tried it once, died, and got scared enough that you said you would do it later before forgetting it. Well now it’s time to remember, as these trials are how we’re going to unlock our accessory slots.
The first level of the Temple of Trials, the Novice’s Trial, will have you fight four floors of enemies before ending with a rematch against the Ulfr Frostclaw boss. While this may be a scary challenge the first time you encounter it, by the time you’re midway through the game and have gotten plenty of health and stronger weapons you’ll be able to smash right through these enemies in record time.
For completing each floor of the trial you’ll be rewarded with a ton of Magicite Fragments as well as the Warrior’s Mark key item. With this item in your inventory, you’ll be able to equip an extra accessory. While this would be a nice reward on its own, we aren’t done yet.
After completing the Dragonpillar dungeon in the Age of Budding, a new trial will be unlocked: The Sophomore’s Trial. This trial is more difficulty than the first as it has eight floors of enemies and multiple boss battles within, ending with a rematch against the Rouser of Destruction. I would recommend not attempting this trial until you get Elliot’s strongest sword and learn the Nomutota attack.
If you are strong enough to complete the trial, you’ll be rewarded with the Seasoned Warriors’ Mark, which of course allows you to equip one extra accessory for a total of three. With three accessories equipped, you’ll be all but invincible as you head into the end game.
