Perhaps no company in the world is more aware of how earth-shattering their next release will be than Rockstar Games, publishers of the Grand Theft Auto franchise. As what other company would be so confident about getting all the attention they need that they’d be willing to release a trailer a 9 A.M. on a random Thursday.
After over a year of no information, Grand Theft Auto VI has returned with a new trailer on June 18, 2026, but not one that showed any gameplay or any story details about the game. Rather, this trailer merely showcases the official cover art that will decorate the game’s box and digital website.

The cover art for the game is very reminiscent of those from previous Grand Theft Auto games, showcasing the cast of Grand Theft Auto VI in a collage of scenes.
In addition to showing off the game’s box art, it has also been confirmed by Rockstar that pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI will open on June 25th. With how anticipated this title is, many pre-orders are expected.
Grand Theft Auto VI is currently scheduled to release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X systems.
