The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC will feature two parts, The Teal Mask and The Indigo Mask, which will be released in Fall 2023 and Winter 2023. Players will be able to continue their save game in the second part of the DLC, The Indigo Mask, once it releases three months later. In The Teal Mask, trainers will visit the land of Kitakami, as part of a school trip. For the second part of the DLC, you will study as an exchange student at Blueberry Academy, in a different, unnamed region.
The Pokémon Presents live stream also teased the addition of older Pokémon into the new regions and the addition of new Pokémon. The DLC also includes a new storyline that revolves around a hidden treasure. The treasure has been hidden deep in the heart of this Area Zero, and trainers must use their wits and skills to uncover it. The story sounds engaging and will probably keep players on their toes as they progress through it.
Fans seem to be excited about the announcement of a new DLC, as W’s were flying in the chat of the Pokémon Presents live stream. However, only once we see more content, will we be able to decide if this DLC brings some much-needed excitement to the series or just the same we have been getting. The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is set to come out in Fall 2023.
