There are few Pokemon more beloved than Eevee. Its cute and fluffy design have captured the hearts of many, including GameFreak themselves if all the attention it gets counts for anything. Whether you’re in that camp, or just need its many evolutions for the Pokedex, then you’ll need to get to catching some of your own. Here’s all the locations you can expect to find an Eevee in Pokemon Legends: Z-A so you can get started.
Eevee Weather Requirements and Locations
If you’re looking to catch Eevee early on, you’ll have to make sure the weather is right. It will only spawn outside of Wild Zones when it’s sunny, meaning you won’t find it if it’s cloudy, nighttime or anything else. So make sure to sit on benches to pass the time if you need to.
Bleu Sector 7

You’ll be able to catch Eevee pretty early in Bleu Sector 7, on the rooftop of the left section of the buildings. You’ll have to climb some scaffolding behind the buildings, near Nouveau Cafe (Truck No. 2). But once you reach the top, an Eevee will be right there if it’s sunny.
Vert Sector 9

Eevee can also be found in the patch of grass in Vert Sector 9. You can get there really quickly from Wild Zone 1 if you leave from the zone’s northeast exit, then go straight until you get to the first left through an alley. Another way to get there is by going from Vernal Pokemon Center, running through the alleyway southeast from there next to the hair salon, then turning right into a stone entranceway.
Magenta Sector 9

Magenta Sector 9 will have an Eevee too, on a rooftop in the upper left corner of the sector. You’ll need to climb some scaffolding in an alleyway in the center of the sector first. When you’ve reached the top of that, turn left to climb another ladder. What follows that is a one-way drop, where you’ll find Eevee further ahead on the rooftop with grass patches lining the sides.
Wild Zone 19

If you aren’t getting lucky with the weather requirements, you can catch Eevee later on in the story in Wild Zone 19, also known as Jaune Sector 8. Eevee can spawn there during the day or night, under any weather conditions – you’ll sometimes find an alpha too. So if you only want Eevee and its forms for the Pokedex, you can wait until you’ve unlock this zone to farm them. You can unlock Wild Zone 19 by completing Main Mission 30, Reaching Rank B.
All Eevee Evolutions and Requirements
Being the Evolution Pokemon, Eevee can evolve into several different species – eight, to be exact. Most of Eevee’s evolution methods are straightforward, but some of them can be overlapped under certain conditions, so you’ll have to be extra careful when evolving it. Here’s all of Eevee’s evolutions and how you can get each one.
Because Eevee evolves in similar ways across its evolutions, its evolved forms will be grouped by their required evolution methods. We’ll have two categories to go over: evolution stones and high friendship. I’ll cover the general requirements for all the evolutions, then get into the specifics for them individually.
Evolution Stones

Eevee requires an evolution stone for five of its evolutions. You can find these stones all throughout Lumiose city, either by exploring and picking up items on the ground or by completing certain Side Missions. The most consistent way to get them is by shopping at the Stone Emporium, where each required stone will cost 3,000 Pokedollars. You can find this store on the west side of Vernal Avenue.
To evolve Eevee into Vaporeon, you’ll need a Water Stone. Jolteon will require a Thunder Stone, and Flareon will require a Fire Stone. You can get a Leafeon from Eevee if you use a Leaf Stone on it. Finally, Glaceon will need an Ice Stone.
High Friendship

Eevee’s other three evolutions require high friendship. You can increase a Pokemon’s friendship by leveling it up with battles or Exp. Candies, and using vitamins or feathers. Relaxing at cafes, food trucks, and benches with it is the best method, since they’ll net you the most friendship points. You can also feed it certain berries to increase friendship (22 berries if you’re starting at zero friendship), but this comes at the cost of reducing specific stats.
You can evolve Eevee into Espeon with high friendship during the day. Umbreon, on the other hand, requires high friendship at night. Finally there’s Sylveon, which requires high friendship while knowing a Fairy-type move. Sylveon’s evolution requirements take priority over the other two, so make sure Eevee doesn’t know any Fairy-type moves if you plan on going for Espeon or Umbreon.
