Unlocking every single costume in 007: First Light will require the player to get very familiar with each mission in the game, as the main method for unlocking costumes in Tactical Simulations is to replay missions from the story mode and complete various optional challenges within them. In order to unlock the Malta Training Outfit, the player will need to complete every challenge in the game’s fifth chapter “A New Home”. If you are having any difficulty with this chapter’s challenges or simply want to look at a list of them before you play it for the first time, then please feel free to use this guide detailing all the A New Home challenges in 007: First Light.
All A New Home Challenges in 007: First Light

There are twelve challenges in the A New Home chapter of the game. Unlike Against All Odds, these challenges are spread throughout the entire chapter instead of being contained in a single checkpoint. Most of the challenges are related to the two major action set pieces in the chapter, “In At The Deep End” and “Search the Compound.” Below is a list of all the challenges in the chapter
| Challenge Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Completionist | Complete all Challenges in “A New Home” to unlock the Malta training outfit for TacSim. |
| Pacifist | Complete “Something To Prove” and “White Flag”. |
| Ghost | Complete “Cressida’s Way” and “Always Do The Unexpected”. |
| Assault | Complete “Monroe’s Way” and “Party Crasher”. |
| Mr Mnemonic | Get the answer right in Monroe’s memory game in the apartment. |
| Something To Prove | Complete “In At The Deep End” without knocking down any soldier. |
| Cressida’s Way | Complete a full stealth run in “In At The Deep End”. |
| Monroe’s Way | Take down every enemy in “In At The Deep End”. |
| Spinning A Yarn | Only lie to Greenway when Bond is strapped to the polygraph. |
| White Flag | Reach the flag without taking down any soldiers in the compound. |
| Always Do The Unexpected | Get to the flag without alerting anyone in the compound. |
| Party Crasher | Take down all the enemies in the compound before reaching the flag. |
As you can surely tell just by looking at them, it is not possible to complete every challenge in a single playthrough of the chapter. You’ll need to play the “In At the Deep End” and “Search the Compound” parts of the mission at least twice. Once for a stealth run where you don’t fight any enemies, and once for an action run where you fight everything.
Below I will detail the proper ways to complete each of the challenges in this chapter, with the exceptions of challenges that just require completing two other challenges.
Mr. Mnemonic

After getting your bedroom key in the first checkpoint of the mission, “Home”, talk to Monroe and he’ll ask you play a memorization game with you. This game will have you stare at a a card with nine symbols on it for ten seconds before you flip over the card. After the card is flipped, Monroe will ask you which symbols were in the bottom corners of the card. The answer is: Umbrella and Crown
Something to Prove
For this challenge you’ll want to load up the “In at the deep end” checkpoint. We’re going to need to need to sneak our way through here without knocking out any soldiers. This is obviously going to be easier to do if we just don’t get spotted at all so here’s a walkthrough for stealthing your way through the area.
1. Once the mission begins, walk forward down the ledge and into the tall grass in front of you.

2. Wait for the solider in the building on your right to walk out of the building and then sneak into it yourself.

3. Exit the building via the north exit and climb the ladder on the wall in front of you. You will be exposed briefly while doing this but do not run or the guards will hear and spot you.

4. Kick in the door in front of you, enter the building, and then climb the box immediately to your left. While standing on the box, you will just barely be able to reach and climb into a window above you.

5. Climb the ladder that is up here, and then make your way through the small crack in the wall. There will be a guard here so make sure he walks by before you proceed.

6. Climb the final ladder and collect the flag, challenge complete!

Cressida’s Way
This challenge requires us to complete “In at the deep end” without being seen. I just went over how to do that in the Something To Prove challenge walkthrough so you’ve likely already got this one done.
Monroe’s Way

This challenge is the pure opposite of the previous one. Once again we need to load the “In at the deep end” checkpoint and this time we need to defeat every enemy in the area. You can do this via stealth takedowns, fisticuffs, or guns. Any method is viable here so long as you defeat every single person in the area. The challenge will complete as soon as you have succeeded, so don’t accidentally pick up the flag too early.
Spinning a Yarn

After two long and difficult challenges, this next one is a breath of fresh air as all we’ll need to do is be a jerk to Greenway. Load up the “Polygraph lesson” checkpoint and choose to lie to Greenway each time he asks a question to complete this challenge.
White Flag
Time for another stealth mission! For this challenge we’ll need to steal the flag in the “Search the Compound” checkpoint without taking down any soldiers. This will require a bit of stealth but is mostly an easy challenge as this area introduced us to the bluffing mechanic. Here is a full walkthrough for making your way through the base unseen and without knocking anyone out
1. As soon as the mission begins, walk down the ledge directly in front of you

2. Wait for the guard in front of you to move, then sneak your way to the tall grass on the other side. The enemies will begin to spot you, but as long as you keep moving you’ll reach the grass before they do.

3. Crawl into the hole in front of you, then bluff to the guards

4. Walk up the stair in the next room

5. Crawl out the window on the second floor, then take the stairs to the top floor

6. Hack the computer on the roof with you watch to distract the guards, then walk past them to enter the room with the flag. Congratulations on successfully sneaking through the area without fighting anyone!

Always Do The Unexpected
This challenge requires you to complete the “Search the Compound” checkpoint without being spotted. I already detailed how to do that in the section of this guide explaining how to complete the White Flag objective so just follow those steps. It’s important to keep in mind that bluffing to a guard doesn’t alert them and thus won’t count as being spotted.
Party Crasher

Like before, we now need to go through the same mission but instead of sneaking around we’re going to knock out every single enemy in our path. Use whatever methods you like, just make sure there are no enemies left standing.
