On October 24, 2026, Square Enix announced that the next character to be added to their gacha fighting game Dissidia Duellum: Final Fantasy would be Y’shtola Rhul from Final Fantasy XIV. Y’shtola will be added to the game to kick off the game’s seventh season, which will be almost entirely Final Fantasy XIV themed.
Yshtola will be added to the game as a Ranged fighter who will also want to be fighting on the frontlines due to the way her passive skill and unique ability work.
- Passive Skill: Sorceress of the Seventh Dawn – Increases ATK when Allies are nearby
- Unique Ability: Fire of the Seventh Dawn – Hold to release a far-reaching attack against foes in front of you
In addition to her passive skills, players will be able to pull for the following Y’shtola-exclusive skills in the game’s gacha
- UR: Dragon Slash-Cross – Attack Foes in a wide area in front of you (High Damage)
- UR: Spiritual Ray – Attack foes in a wide area around you (Ultimate Damage)
Like all characters added to the game so far, Y’shtola and her skills must be pulled for in the game’s gacha, however, Y’shtola herself can also be obtained as a natural reward in the game’s season pass.

Y’shtola won’t be the only thing added to the gacha in this upcoming Dissidia Season; As the game’s other Final Fantasy XIV representative, Gaia, will be receiving a new costume called “Iceshade Serenade”. This costume is entirely cosmetic and will have no effect on gameplay.

FInal Fantasy XIV Producer Naoki Yoshida has also released a statement to players about the addition of Y’shtola to Dissidia Dulleum: Final Fantasy.

Dissidia Duellum: Final Fantasy is currently available to download for Android and IOS devices. The game’s seventh season, “Dawn’s Light” is scheduled to begin on October 27, 2026. The game’s eighth season will be the first not to add a new character, as it is currently scheduled to be a banner rerun season.
