I’m probably not the only one that does not want to play Operations with randos that go around destroying everything in their path without communicating with me. Since I had to work on all of the guides for the Armory Data and Gene-Seed locations, I needed time to explore every little corner of the maps. To do this, I needed to play the Operations solo. However, the devs have done their best to make sure that we never play solo by completely destroying any progress we make by doing this. Still, if you’re not afraid to lose out on some stuff, here’s how to play Operations solo in Space Marine 2.
How to Play Solo Operations in Offline Mode in Space Marine 2
If you were to look at the roadmap, you’d see that Private PVE Lobbies are in the works and most likely coming out this month. However, not everyone has the patience for it.
The only way to play Operations solo right now in the game is to enter Offline Mode. To do this just lose connection from the internet while in the Battle Barge and select to continue playing this way.
On PS and Xbox, just enter rest mode and then open the game back up and you’ll get the same result.
The only problem with Offline Mode is that it doesn’t keep any of the XP or currency you get. So it is basically pointless if that is your goal. The only thing it might be useful for is exploring the missions in your own time or trying things out.
In the first few days, there were ways to play in Offline Mode and keep your progress, but this has been patched out.
The way you would do this was to enter Offline Mode in the Battle Barge, then start the Operation with bots, reconnect to the internet, and then, once the mission is done, quickly exit to the Main Menu and then press Continue to go back to the Battle Barge for the game to save your progress.
