How to Easily Hunt Deer in Village in the Shade

Before you get to hunting deer in Village in the Shade, you’ll need to buy a few things. The first thing you’ll need is obviously a Deer Hunting License, as without that you won’t be able to progress further up the mountain. Next, you need a Snare and some Animal Bait, both of which can be bought at the Hunting Lodge.
Once you have bought the Deer Hunting License as well as the Snare and Bait, make your way up the mountain and look for some deer. Deer can spawn in either the Deer Hunting area or the Bear Hunting area, with seemingly no rhyme or reason for which one they’ll be spawning in each day.
Once you have reached an area with a Deer, it will immediately become aggro-ed and attempt to attack you. Dodge its first attack and place both your snare and the animal bait in the center of the area. The deer will ignore them for now, but that’s exactly what you want.
Next, equip your bow and stand far away from both the deer and your snare. Shoot the deer so that it runs toward you. If you’ve angled yourself right, the deer will run right over the snare and instantly become entangled with it.
Once the deer in the has been caught, simply interact with it to get the deer hunting certificate which you can exchange for items at the Hunting Lodge. This hunting method consistently works with both the normal deer and alpha deer variants, however it does not work on bears. You’ll have to fight those normally, but that’s simpler as bears never run away.
