It feels like nowadays Marvel game studios can’t go more than five minutes without vital information being unintentionally revealed to the public. Thankfully this time there wasn’t a leak as harmful as employee information, but rather just a game title.
Back in September of 2023, it was announced that Skydance New Media, a studio with no completed credits under their belt currently, would be developing a game under the Marvel Studios banner starring Captain America and Black Panther.
While some were excited about this game, it quickly fell into obscurity as no info was revealed about the game other than the premise and its World War II setting. However, it would seem that new information has come out from an unlikely source.
Kurakasis, a leaker who had previously predicted the titles of “Sonic x Shadow Generations” and “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” went to Twitter on the morning of March 16 to reveal the title of this upcoming Marvel game.
According to Kurakiss, the title of this game will be “Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra”. 1943 obviously refers to the year the game takes place and Hydra refers to the Marvel Universe splinter cell of nazis.

While the title is wholly original as there are currently no existing comics with the title “Marvel 1943” the title may be following the trend of a famous Neil Gaimon comic: Marvel 1602. 1602 reimagined the Marvel Universe in a contemporary medieval setting.
Although claiming that 1943 will reimagine the universe in a World War 2 setting may be a stretch as many Marvel characters had already fought in that war, the title in itself feels like a cheeky reference to this naming scheme.
There are currently no other existing details about Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. Hopefully, we learn more about this game in the coming year at events like D23.
