At 11:30 AM on September 14, 2023, Sony announced which games they would be adding to their PlayStation Plus catalog in September of 2023 via a blog post on their website.
The games featured in this month’s catalog are already exciting gamers as the frontrunner games this month include many critically acclaimed Japanese titles from the publisher Vanillaware such as their beloved Visual Novel 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim and their Action RPG Odin Sphere Leifthrasir.
In addition to this, Square Enix and Yoko Yaro’s cult classic Action RPG: NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 will be available in this month’s catalog. Allow gamers to re-experience this phenomenal game.
Most notably, the entirety of Square Enix’s Star Ocean franchise will become available for PS Plus Premium members this month. While PS Plus Extra members will gain access to only the two most recent entries; Star Ocean: The Divine Force and Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness, Premium members will be able to play older entries such as Star Ocean: Till the End of Time and Star Ocean: The Last Hope.
Japanese games aren’t the only thing featured in this month’s catalog, Of course, fans of Western game releases can expect to play the grand simulation game Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, run and gun game Contra: Rouge Corps, and survival game This War of Mine when this month’s games release.
Parents who have subscribed to PS Plus for their kids can also rest assured that these adult games won’t be the only additions to the catalog. Similar to the previous three months’ catalogs two games intended for small children will be included in this month’s games: PAW Patrol The Movie: Adventure City Calls and Planet Coaster.
All of these games and more will be added to the PS Plus Extra and Premium Catalogs on September 22, 2023. PS Plus Extra is currently available on Sony’s platforms for a $15 monthly subscription or a yearly $135 subscription.
