For the past few weeks, fans of video game publisher Nintendo have been speculating on when the company’s next Nintendo Direct will be. Many assumed there would be one in the middle of February, as has been the trend with the company for the past few years.
After weeks of speculation about a February 15 Nintendo Direct which never came to be, famed leaker Pyoro finally took to social media website Twitter to give gamers some news.
After engaging in their usual antics of telling fake leakers to delete their accounts, Pyoro revealed that the next Nintendo Direct would occur in one weeks’ time! Placing the Direct’s date close to the tail end of February.
Alongside his tweets about the Direct occurring in a week, Pyoro began to tweet messages like “Act II: Rebirth” and “Rebirth of Partner Showcase”. This caused many to speculate on if Final Fantasy VII Rebirth would be shown.

Pyoro would soon clarify that no, there will be no Final Fantasy VII Rebirth news in the Direct, he was just referencing a Famiboards thread title. However, he did give confirmation that the upcoming Direct will be a partner showcase.
A Nintendo Partner Showcase Direct is a shorter form of Direct than the usual affair, these showcases focus on third-party titles that will be launching on the Nintendo Switch in upcoming months. One of these titles, according to Pyoro, will be Penny’s Big Breakaway.
In addition to all of this, Pyoro confirmed that a leak that had been spreading across Social Media was fake. This leak, as shown below, was an image of games that would allegedly be in the next Nintendo Direct.

While the exact date of this Pyoro-leaked Direct is currently still unknown, the mere mention of it has lit a fire underneath Nintendo fans, as they look to the future with excitement and speculation.
