While most optional achievements in Mixtape merely require completing chapters fast or dodging objects during skateboarding segments, there is one that will require a bit of sleuthing on the player’s part: The Grunge Metal Alchemist achievement. In order to get this achievement, the player will need to make a specific slushie early in the game. The catch? You won’t even learn this Secret Slushie exists until near the end of your playthrough. How to Make Slater’s Secret Slushie in Mixtape
During the early-game chapter “Ultimate Slushie”, the player will get the chance to make two different slushies for Stacey and Slater. There are eight different flavors you can make your slushies out of, with no limits on how many you can use or how much of each flavor in a single recipe. There is plenty of unique dialogue related to the various slushies you can make, but we’re specifically looking for Slater’s Secret Slushie as there is an achievement linked to it.
Unfortunately, you actually cannot learn what Slater’s Secret Slushie recipe is before the Ultimate Slushie chapter during your first playthrough of the game. Instead, you’ll need to wait until you reach the “Slater’s House” chapter near the end of the game to learn it.
Next to Slater’s bed there will be a wall full of drawings that you can examine. Scroll to the right while viewing these and you’ll see one depicting the Ultimate Slushie.
Now that we know the recipe, let’s finish up our first playthrough and then go back to the Ultimate Slushie chapter via Chapter Select, or alternatively you can earn it during your first playthrough via cheating and looking it up. All we have to do now is make a slushie out of the following flavors
- Blue Crush
- Bubblegum
- Orange
- Lime
It doesn’t matter how much of each flavor you put into the slushie, it just needs to have all four of them. Once the slushie is finished, you’ll get some special dialogue revealing the true name of the Ultimate Slushie and finally earn this trophy.
