Minthara Fans Will Be Happy with the New Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix

On September 5th, 2023, Larian Studios released another hotfix patch for their critically acclaimed role-playing game Baldur’s Gate 3. This 5th “hotfix” patch is another in a long series of smaller patches that shall be released in between major ones.

The major focus of this hotfix patch will be fixing a bug that caused many players to be locked out of romancing their favorite ruthless Oath of Vengeance Paladin: Minthara.

Now, If the player’s approval rating with Minthara is high enough, their romance will progress even further during the game’s third act. With player learning more of her backstory as they progress this questline. Not only has this bug been fixed, but many new non-interactive voiced lines of dialogue have been added for Minthara.

In addition to being able to further romance Minthara, several of the player’s other party members will have new dialogue commenting on the player’s decision to date her. Some of them may even come to hate her if the player romances multiple party members at once.

In addition to this new Minthara content, Some issues with the game’s multiplayer mechanics have also been fixed in this patch. Performance issues with the game’s split-screen mode and avatars not displaying properly in Wither’s Wardrobe have been quickly fixed with this patch.

Another bug with Wither’s Wardrobe that has been fixed in this patch is how previously dismissed avatars and companions would lose all approval ratings with traders. In the future, this approval will be maintained even after dismissing them.

Players can expect several other performance issues fixed upon installing Hotfix #5 today as well. the most crucial of which is the game’s memory-leaking issues which shall hopefully not be an issue in the future.
