Metal Gear Solid 3’s level design is considered by many to be a work of art, and to make you fully appreciate the level of detail within it the original game hid 64 hidden frogs called Kerotans throughout its world. Metal Gear Solid Delta keeps all 64 Kerotans from the original game, however just to keep players on their toes Konami has also added 64 extra collectibles called GA-KOs. While you may be able to rely on twenty year old memories to find the Kerotans, these new collectibles may throw you for a loop.

Because they’re very similar collectibles, feel free to use this guide to find both the locations of the Kerotans and GA-KOs in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: All Kerotan and GA-KO Locations.

Each area of the game contains one Kerotan and one GA-KO, with no exceptions. So make sure that you don’t leave any areas until you have found and shot both of them.

Also keep in mind that areas you visit during both the prologue section and the main game count as separate areas and thus you must find the collectibles there twice.

If you have any issues with this guide feel free to bring them up in the Raider King Discord.

Dremuchji South (Virtuous Mission)

Kerotan #1 and GA-KO #1 are both placed atop a rock that can be found on a ledge above the tree where your backpack landed during the tutorial.

Dremuchji Swampland (Virtuous Mission)

GA-KO #2 can be found on a small piece of land in the swamp. There are two crocodiles by it so tranquilize them before you approach and shoot the toy.

Because you’ll lose your gun upon first entering this area, you’ll need to backtrack here after you obtain a new gun to get these collectibles. GA-KO #7 can then be found on top of the tree in the clearing where The Boss confronted you.

Kerotan #7 can then be found on a ledge slightly to the north of the previous collectible.

Dremuchij Swampland (Operation Snake Eater)

Turn your camera so that you’re facing the left side of the area and you’ll spot Kerotan #9 directly across from a log you can climb over.

You’ll be able to find GA-KO #13 hidden atop a tree near the western entrance of the area.

Kerotan #13 is hidden behind a tree in the northern section of the area. It’s recommended that you knock out or eliminate all enemies in the area first as they will likely attack you once you shoot it.

Instead of sneaking around the base, make your way inside of it where you will find Kerotan #14 hidden underneath a chair.

GA-KO #14 is located atop a supply building that’s located in the top-right corner of the map.

Bolshaya Past Crevice

Both of these collectibles must be shot DURING the boss battle with Ocelot as you will automatically leave the area after. GA-KO #15 is located on the rocks to the left side of the arena on Ocelot’s side. It can be very difficult to spot while it’s camouflaged.

Kerotan #15 meanwhile is hidden within some Grass near the south eastern edge of the boss arena.

It’s advised that you knock out the nearby guards before searching for the Kerotan and GA-KO as this area is very crowded and you cannot use guns while wearing the scientist disguise. Once you are safe though, you can find Kerotan #26 atop a locker on the first floor of the building.

Both collectibles in this small room can be found right by the exit. The Kerotan #40 is located slightly above the bed while GA-KO #40 can be found near the roof.

Groznyj Grad Underground Tunnel

The boss fight against The Fury is a point of no return so make sure you grab this Kerotan BEFORE entering the boss fight. As soon as you enter the tunnels you can shoot Kerotan #41 with your sniper rifle.

Your only opportunity to shoot GA-KO #41 will be DURING the boss battle against The Fury. It can be spotted on the western side of the boss arena.

Volgin Boss Fight

You’ll need to shoot these next two collectibles WHILE fighting Colonel Volgin. GA-KO #52 is on your right while Kerotan #52 is on your left.

Groznyj Grad (Motorcycle Chase)

The next several batches of GA-KOs and Keros are all located in the motorcycle chase sequence. You cannot stop or control your movements during this sequence so have your sniper rifle ready to shoot these as soon as you pass them.

Kerotan #53 is located right at the start of the sequence when EVA brings the bike to this area. Aim your sniper rifle up at the tower and zoom in to see Kerotan #53

When EVA’s bike reaches this section of the chase, quickly aim to the tower on your left and shoot GA-KO #53.

Groznyj Grad Runway South (Motorcycle Chase)

Right at the start of this section of the chase, EVA will stop her motorcycle in this area. Once she does, quickly pull out your rifle to shoot Kerotan #54, which can be found on the forklift to your left. Then quickly turn right to shoot GA-KO #54, which is sitting on a metal drum.

Groznyj Grad Runway (Motorcycle Chase)

These next two collectibles are extremely hard to hit. One piece of advice I can give is thst the game autosaves whenever you enter a new area in this chase. So if you miss your shot, quickly reload your save before you enter the next area. Both collectibles can be found on boxes to your left side as EVA drives down the runway. Kerotan #55 is on box 7 while GA-KO #55 is on box 11.

Groznyj Grad Runway (Second Area) (Motorcycle Chase)

After the cutscene, immediately pull out your sniper rifle and aim toward Snake’s right. Kerotan #56 will be on the box labeled 18.

GA-KO #56 can then be found and shot on a fence in between boxes 25 and 26. The timing on shooting this one is VERY tight as anything Volgin shoots you Snake will put down his gun. So prepare for a few save reloads.

Groznyj Grad Rail Bridge (Motorcycle Chase)

Once EVA stops you at the bridge, press the circle button to stop crouching as you cannot see the Kerotan while Snake is low. Once you’re standing aim for the support beam on your car left to shoot Kerotan #57. GA-KO #57 can then be found on a rock to your right.

Shagohad Boss Fight

You’ll get a brief break from having to constantly reload saves when the actual boss fight against the Shagohad begins as the next two collectibles are in this boss arena. Kerotan #58 can be found atop the building that’s in the arena.

GA-KO #58 meanwhile is at the very edge of the arena, by the destroyed remains of the bridge.

Groznyj Grad Rail Bridge North (Motorcycle Chase)

After the boss fight it’s once again time to keep you eye out for Keros and GA-KOs during the motorcycle chase. GA-KO #59 will be placed on the front bumper of a car during the first ambush you come across.

Keep your gun aimed forward and your finger on the trigger as Kerotan #59 is immediately around the corner, placed on the ground during the second ambush point.

Lazorevo South (Motorcycle Chase)

Immediately upon entering the area, aim your sniper rifle forward and you’ll find Kerotan #60 on the ground by a rock.

GA-KO #60 can then be seen on a log to your left that you pass by mid-way through the area. The window to shoot it is very very tight so expect to reload a few times.

Lazorevo North (Motorcycle Chase)

You’re almost done with the motorcycle chase. Just one more area to go through. Kerotan #61 can be seen with your sniper rifle on a rock to your left a few seconds after entering the area.

Immediately after shooting that Kerotan, turn to your right and you’ll find GA-KO #61 sitting on a rock in the river. The window on this is very tight as EVA will immediately drive over the river and past it. So expect to reload your save a few times.

Zaozyorje West

Both Kerotan #62 and GA-KO #62 can be found underneath the log you have to walk on in the southwestern part of the map.

Zaozyorje East

You’ll find Kerotan #63 hidden behind a tree just before the path splits into two.

Continue north until you’re near the area’s exit. Aim your gun toward the wall on your left and you’ll find GA-KO #63

Rokovoj Bereg

Kerotan #64 and GA-KO #64 can both be found on top of trees during the game’s final boss battle.
