On May 2 2026, fighting game developer Arc System Works revealed a new trailer for their upcoming Marvel Comics fighting game Marvel Tokon. This trailer highlighted the Fighting Avengers team and revealed two characters who will be joining the game’s roster.
The two characters revealed in this trailer were the Incredible Hulk and Black Panther. Hulk’s design pulls several design elements from the Planet Hulk storyline, with skulls being embroidered on his gladiator-style shorts.

Throughout the trailer, the Hulk can be seen performing massive and slow attacks, which are certain to hit like a truck and melt through the health bars of any opponent.
Black Panther, meanwhile, is not the T’Challa version most fans of the character are accustomed to, but rather his sister and successor: Shuri. Her design is much closer to her design in the comics than a majority of other characters currently in the roster.

In contrast to the Hulk, Black Panther’s attacks throughout the trailer were speedy and acrobatic, with her staff being used for mid-range combos meant to keep the enemy on their toes.
Fittingly enough, the stage revealed alongside these two characters is one related to Black Panther, as the Fighting Avengers team is seen fighting in the fictional country of Wakanda throughout the trailer, with there being several palace guards in the background watching the fight.

While Hulk was an expected addition to the roster, having appeared in nearly every Marvel fighting game before this, Black Panther was a pleasant surprise, as the only Marvel fighting game before this to feature them was 2017’s Marvel vs Capcom Infinite.
The trailer also featured footage of Iron Man and Captain America, who were initially shown off in the game’s reveal trailer but are now confirmed to be four of the game’s Avengers characters.

Marvel Tokon is currently scheduled to release on August 6, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Steam.
