On September 21, 2023, game publisher Koei Tecmo held the final news stream for their upcoming Action-RPG Fate/Samurai Remnant at Japan’s Tokyo Game Show.

During the stream special guest Hibiku Yamamura, the voice of the game’s Saber, went over all the info we currently already know about the game’s cast of masters and enemy servants.

After the recap, we were given information about the game’s various sidequests. Throughout the game, the player will have the option to complete quests and view flashbacks showing the backstories of the game’s various historical figures. One of these flashbacks will even include the fan-favorite character Sasaki Kojiro.

It was also confirmed in this stream that the game would feature multiple endings to the main Holy Grail War that would be determined by choices the player makes during the main quest.

After this new information, stream viewers were shown a full ten minutes of uninterrupted footage of the game’s tutorial. Throughout this segment we saw various sword combos the player will be able to perform as well as see that the game has an option to toggle a floating line that will guide them to their destination.

After this tutorial, The biggest reveal from this stream was unveiled: the enemy Masters and Servants that the player will be fighting throughout the main plot will be fully playable and will even have their own unique quests.

After this announcement, the publisher showed off a new trailer where we were given a glimpse of a playable Zheng Chenggong and his Archer servant. This trailer contains multiple hints at Archer’s true identity and implies he is a historical figure from Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

To close off the stream it was announced that all Servants featured in Fate/Samurai Remnant would be receiving new interlude stories in the popular gacha game Fate/Grand Order about their roles in the upcoming action RPG.
